I'm from Boston so pick one, but
2007 Superbowl: To this day it hurts to see people in 18-1 t-shirts
2003 ALCS: Pedro in game 7 in NY. It would have been perfect. Of course it's all forgiven now, but school the next day was horrible

Pretty much every NBA basketball season since I was born, with Dallas winning being the exception...which was bittersweet.

It isn't #1, but the Reds loss to San Francisco this past Fall was really hard to take. Up 2-0, three straight games at Great American Ballpark to go, and in Game 3 Homey Bailey has a no hitter going through 6 innings. Couldn't get another win. It's hard to fathom how that happened.

The Reds are my second favorite team...and the Cards are my first. I can't believe they both fell apart after only needing to win one game to eliminate SF.

As a Manchester United fan, losing 6-1 to City still makes me very sad.

1992 - Kentucky vs. Duke - No explanation needed.
1997 - Kentucky vs. Arizona - Blew the shot at a Three-peat
Super Bowl XLIV - Really wanted Peyton to win his second SB.

Happened to the Ravens this season when we decided to lay down for a 3rd string QB who's 39 years old.

Super Bowl XLIV - Really wanted Peyton to win his second SB. It also stung because in hindsight of what we know about NO and how everyone seemed to be on their side. Oh well...let's go Denver!!

1994 NHL Eastern Conference Finals, Game 7 - Double overtime game until the Matteau goal that sent the Rangers to their eventual, once per 50 years Stanley Cup victory. And the Rangers fans haven't let us Devils fans hear the end of it since. Never mind that the Devils won 3 since then, and the Rangers 0.
Super Bowl XXXV - Ravens defense outright embarrassed the Giants and Trent Dilfer became the worst quarterback to ever win a Super Bowl.
2004 ALCS - Red Sox pulled their best John Cena act and overcame the odds to beat the Yankees after the Bombers jumped ahead to a 3-0 series lead. They certainly paid us back for Aaron f***ing Boone the year before.

Game 1 of the 2006 Stanley Cup finals. The Oilers were outplaying the Canes 3-0 and lost the lead to 4-3. Then tied the game 4-4. Than our playoff MVP goaltender gets injured and was replaced by our shitty backup goaltender who did one of the stupidest things a goaltender can do making it 5-4 Canes with 32 seconds left in the game. Than Cam Ward robbed Horcoff from a game tying breakaway goal making them win Game One. I knew the Oilers have lost the finals after that game making that game sting more than losing in Game Seven. If Roloson was never injured we would of won the cup.

1995 play-off final. First of all it was unfair were even it that game as we finished 2nd that year which usually guarantees automatic promotion. Then we took a 2-0 lead, won a penalty, missed it and never recovered. At the time it felt like we'd peaked and missed our only chance of reaching the top division (as that team would break up after the loss) so it really was a crushing loss, in fact I still can't bring myself to watch the full game despite things turning out pretty well since. I suppose football means more to a 10 years old too especially at Wembley which was a novelty at the time.

Insert any Minnesota Vikings playoff seasons here.
Notables: 1) 1999 NFC Championship game (1998-1999 season) 2) 2010 NFC Championship game (2009-2010 season) 3) 2001 NFC Championship game (41-0 anyone?) (2000-2001 season)
