Ok, I just finished up my internship and one of my colleagues and I are the same age. I knew she was interested in me, but had no interest in hooking up cuz if it goes bad it will go real bad. Now that I am done I was like what the heck and started talking to her off and on a bit. I asked her what a good time to call her was and did so...got no answer.
A few hours later she comes on Facebook and asks me what I want and I asked her if she'd like to go and get a bite to eat. After that I have not heard back from her. She did not respond but posted things on Facebook in that time frame so she was ignoring me. I got the notices from Facebook that said she has viewed my messages that I have sent but no response and she is still my friend on Facebook.
The questions I have are What did I do wrong? and any ideas why the ignoring? The silent treatment is new to me and annoying in situations like this

All women are different and no one knows exactly is going through their head.
Also, don't take it personally when this board inevitably calls you a terrible person for expecting a woman to be your sex slave despite you never saying anything remotely close to that.

My wife says it's because she didn't want to say "no thanks" and they feel like yer gonna get mad if they say no or keep asking. But of course ignoring someone is not the right way to do it.

My advice? Don't worry about it. You're only solidifying your chance of nothing happening the more you contact her.

I read the title wrong, I thought this was about an issue with a relative, and at first I thought your story was going to end with "I banged her and then found out she was my cousin".

Pretty much the responses I expected, but always good to hear it from other people. I think honestly it was one of those situations where I was just the person at the spot at the time. Had it been any other guy the same behavior would have happened. Hence the reason I kind of wanted to hook up after I finished my internship.
The whole leaving me hanging thing though is annoying and wouldn't be surprised if she came back talking to me if she started to need attention again.

Some girls won't just say no.
I asked this one girl out, I figured I could at least secure a date. She said she was busy with school, but next week would be better I knew this to be true. So I asked her if she wanted to go out the next week, again she blamed school.
I took the hint, she was "washing her hair" that night. So I just never bothered again. If she was at all interested, she would have set aside a few hours to see me, she wasn't. I'm not saying it didn't bother me, it did, a lot, but oh well.

She's not interested. You probably didn't do anything wrong except not be attractive to her. That's usually why people don't want to go out with someone.

Obviously you have not asked her enough times. Clearly you need to stalk her,go to her house with a giant bunch of flower and don't leave until she opens the door. Awser every single of her facebook pages with love notes and send her mails(both e-mail and postmail) everyday |
