Who do you think holds this infamous title? Someone who has told the most lies to other wrestlers, the media, bosses, employees, etc.
Firs one who came to mind was Paul Heyman.

Shoot is not Hogan. Hogan has had such a long career that he forgets thing but I don't think he's ever lied outright to someone (That wrestling fans know of anyway)
I'd say Heyman has lied the most but most wrestling promoters do. How many times do we hear ex WWE guys say that Vince promised them a massive push? Bischoff promised pushes? Heyman lied about other things but he had too.

I recall an article online which had a gigantic list of things Hogan outright lied about in the media concerning his own history or wrestling history. The most blantant one being the constant over exaggeration of how big Andre was when he slammed him. There was also some ridiculous figure about how he was wrestling "over 400 matches per year" during his heyday. Hogan has no qualms with just making random numbers up in interviews.

Hulk Hogan by a longshot. I was a massive "Hulkamaniac" as a kid and I still enjoy his classic WWF matches, but the man seems to be allergic to the truth most of the time.

Remember that time Hogan went on the Arsenio Hall show and said he only used steroids on two occasions, and both were to rehab an injury. Honesty!

Heyman is up there. Brilliant mind for the business, but there is a reason why the saying with Heyman is he'd rather sit in a tree and tell a lie than stand on the ground and tell the truth

That kind of stuff is totally harmless in my opinion. Like when you end up in a bar fight where both you and the guy trade one punch and somehow both miss before calling it a draw, but when you are telling your friends 'bout it there were backflips and cowboys involved. I mean I find him exaggerating how big Andre was kind of endearing, really. Same with him saying he was almost a guitarist for some band or whatever. It's just a funny lie that doesn't really harm anyone. I think the "greatest liar" would be someone who harmed people with his/her lies.(No idea who that would be)

Hogan might or might not be the biggest liar, but he tells the biggest lies The almost being the Metallica bassist, or Andre dying shortly after Wrestlemania III being they most obvious ones, and if he's lying about things that blatantly, then what isn't he lying about.

LOL, I forgot about those. He did say Andre died "shortly after I slammed him." And that he was almost a member of Metallica.

Hogan, but it's not like they're malicious lies or anything. it's mostly just ridiculous things like Andre weighing 800 pounds and dying the next day, or that time he claimed he almost played bass for Metallica.
in terms of liars who were criminal about it, Ian Rotten's near the top of the heap, and lying's the least of his problems.

Hogan tells tall tales which are ultimately harmless, Paul Heyman lied to workers and cost guys a lot of money that they needed to feed their families, all the while making sure that he landed on his feet when it all finally went belly up... So yeah, Heyman.

Over 400 matches is quite possible, because I do recall that Hogan would wrestle maybe two shows a day. Back then at house shows, Hogan would work his match in the middle of one show and then get in a plane and fly to another show, where he would be the main event.

There was also some ridiculous figure about how he was wrestling "over 400 matches per year" during his heyday. Hogan has no qualms with just making random numbers up in interviews. Hogan (or anyone in the WWF during the 80's) wrestling 300+ days is realistic and likely the truth (400 may have just been a rounded up figure). The WWF would run multiple shows per day back then and if Hogan were working two shows in one day, coupled with already having to work 300 days a year, it's quite possible that he worked close to that amount of matches. I think Hogan's schedule eased up as he became more popular and into the 90's, but he worked a lot just like everyone else during the early part of the Hulkamania boom. As far as his other "lies", I agree they are generally harmless. Embellishing Andre's weight is so ridiculously irrelevant that I'm surprised anyone gives him grief over it. Heyman is definitely a bigger liar in that his lies are by no means harmless (especially when it relates to money). I'm sure there are more examples of lying in the wrestling business. It's not exactly a business full of saints.

Has to be Tammy Sunny Sytch. She lies a whole lot for someone with a very short career who's peak only lasted a year and a half. Unfortunately Chris Candido had to live with most of her lies.
