It's a nice statistic but, currently living the reign, it's just not that eventful. Feels like Diesel going an extra 50 days in 1995. No biggie.
It's been an awesome heel tool though. "RESPECT!"

I think that CM Punk's reign is a big deal (I mean, it's historic for f***'s sake), but I don't think there's any denying that the biggest reason, if not the only reason, he's held it this long was for Rock at the Rumble. I mean it was more or less set in stone after RAW 1000, wasn't it?

Looks at OP... Definition of moment noun 1: a very brief period of time 2: [mass noun] formal importance: the issues were of little moment to the electorate 3: Physics: a turning effect produced by a force acting at a distance on an object. 4: Statistics: a quantity that expresses the average or expected value of the first, second, third, or fourth power of the deviation of each component of a frequency distribution from a given value, typically mean or zero. The first moment is the mean, the second moment the variance, the third moment the skew, and the fourth moment the kurtosis.

If The Rock wasn't wrestling at the Rumble, either Cena would have won the title at Night of Champions or Ryback would have won it at Hell In A Cell. The WWE wanted it to be Punk to face Rock at the Rumble for a reason. It's not like they didn't know how long it was until the Rumble, and what it would mean to keep the title on Punk the whole time. And if they really didn't want Punk's reign to last this long, they could have easily have taken the title off of him before giving it back to him in time for the Rumble.

A 400+ day long Punk title reign doesn't classify as a moment, guys.
Besides, how many of these moments is Punk in, anyway? Does anyone have a full list?

First of all, why would Rock even care about how many times the title changed hands before he got a shot at it? And second, it wouldn't have needed to be a last minute title change. Rock announced that he was going after the title months ago.

It's a WWE.com list, do they really have merit when Triple H is on every list as 'The most handsome super special awesome wrestler off all time'?

My tally of the times people appear on the list, as I am awfully proud of my idea to tally it. "1. Cena (8) 2. Punk (6) 3. AJ (4) 4. (tie) Sheamus, Brock, Ryback (3) 5. (tie) Rock, McMahon, Laurenaitis, Booker, Bryan (2)" Like it or not the list is an impressively accurate representation of the WWE product for the year of 2012. And just to clarify I'm not bitching about this list or how it pertains to anyone.

How much bigger a deal can they make it?
They tell us how long it is every time he shows up. Challenger chases the title. Thats that.

Whenever CM Punk is on screen, it's a moment. When he's NOT on screen, he is so conspicuous in his absence that it also counts as a moment. 2012 itself, geologically speaking, has been a CM Punk moment.

Punk as WWE Champion has been fun but as others have said, it's all about Cena vs Rock 2. It sucks because Punk is one of my favorites but let's not kid ourselves here....
