Hey guys, I'm in the mood to get creeped out so do you have suggestions on games that genuinely disturbed you?
Oh and no need to mention Silent Hill, Eternal Darkness, Amnesia: the Dark Descent or Penumbra as I've already played those.

The original Shadow Hearts had these enemies that were naked upside down women with stab wounds all over the place and their brains on pikes. They disturbed the hell out of me.
Also, penis demons. Though those made me laugh more than anything. Especially when they whacked you with said penises with comedic sound effects.

In Civ 2 I used to nuke the borders of civilizations I could not overcome militarily in order starve them out.
Does that count?
I also had no qualms of sending Tanks in to clear out Archers and Chariots.

I hadn't played video game since the mid-90's and when GTA Vice City came out when I was in college I saw my roommate playing it.
He was beating up random citizens, killing hookers, etc etc and I'll admit - I was kind of disturbed by it. I was like, "Well - that's a button we can't un-push."

Perhaps the Fatal Frame games would interest you? Not as disturbing as Silent Hill 2, but it can still be creepy.

Spec Ops: The Line, according to a few critics I trust. It is based on Heart of Darkness after all.

The Path is neat little horror game. It's completely psych-horror, a la Silent Hill, but it has fun with its story, and plays with tropes, so it's good times abound in a very not-so-good-times manner, which is the point of a horror game, I think. It's a warped re-telling of Little Red Riding Hood, chronicling the journey of six sisters as they each set out to their grandmother's house, and well, the rest is up to you. tale-of-tales.com/ThePath/

Manhunt was creepy, choking people out with plastic bags etc but it was badass at the same time.

Other playable characters included an old American ninja wannabe, a mariachi with a guitar gun, and a vampire gothic lolita whose attributes changed based on calorie intake. The third game was really bizarre.

Condemned: Criminal Origins. I already beat it. Great game though I wish it gave you more freedom when it comes to investigating and moving around. Slender Game, Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth, System Shock 2. I tried Slender and SS2. SS2 is a classic for a reason: it's very creative, the gameplay's great (and simpler to "get" than in the first game), the atmosphere is very tense and with one or two mods that revamp the graphics, it looks fantastic too. Slender... I have mixed feelings about it. It does have a pretty solid atmosphere (especially the first time you see the Slender Man), but I'm not a fan of how you have no way to defend yourself against the Slender Man. Yeah, I get that it's done to give you a feeling of helplessness, but I wish there were at least ways to slow him down. And as creepy as it can get, I still say it's way overrated. Though if I'm perfectly honest, part of the aversion I have for it also comes from the fact that its fanbase seems to be convinced it created the Slender Man mythos and calls earlier works which actually inspired the game rip-offs, despite the fact that all they need to do to find out the truth is check the publication date. I definitely need to give Call of Cthulhu a try, though. The Path is neat little horror game. It's completely psych-horror, a la Silent Hill, but it has fun with its story, and plays with tropes, so it's good times abound in a very not-so-good-times manner, which is the point of a horror game, I think. It's a warped re-telling of Little Red Riding Hood, chronicling the journey of six sisters as they each set out to their grandmother's house, and well, the rest is up to you. tale-of-tales.com/ThePath/That does sound interesting. I'll take a look at it. Thanks for the suggestion! Manhunt was creepy, choking people out with plastic bags etc but it was badass at the same time. I have that one on Steam and I have desperately been trying to play it (I had gone pretty far on a previous computer which crashed), but it doesn't seem to be compatible with Windows 7 and keeps crashing after a few minutes of gameplay . Also, there are several glitches like a gate early on never re-opening if you let it close behind a bad guy. But yes, that's definitely the kind of stuff I'm looking for. Keep 'em coming guys, you've already given some interesting suggestions and I thank you for it!

My buddy came back from Afghanistan with a game called BONETOWN (don't google it from work).
It's highly disturbing in many, many ways.
