It's no secret that alot of stuff in wrestling from the past wouldnt be seen in todays product, and rightfully so, such as all Islanders/ethnic characters having hard heads. I was watching Wrestlemania 4 the other day and was enjoying some of this retro style such as Jesse commenting on Bad News Brown in the battle royal opener: "You know this match is made for Bad News, he is from Harlem, this is a normal saturday night for him". Jesus! Another one that amused me was Gorilla commenting on the title tournament "Whoever wins will have deserved it because the they will have been pushed harder than anyone has been pushed before." ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Not harder than Hogan obviously! This topic reminds me of I believe Royal Rumble 99 when I guess Cole was commentating and Austin was fighting Chyna and he says something like "The rattlesnake doesnt care if you're a man or a woman!"...as Debra would later find out. Give me more!

Not commentary, but Piper once said that Mr. T wore more chains than his ancestors

Wasn't there a Roots reference made (probably by Jesse Ventura) when Roddy Piper was whipping Mr. T with a leather strap? Edit: LOL, found it, Ventura says, "Looks to me like Roots 2". www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QLb_MTAzKIAlso, see any Tito Santana match commentated by Jesse Ventura.

And the pushed thing meant "pushed to their physical limits" not "pushed by the bookers."

Jim Cornette: "Missy Hyatt was prepared to appear in Playboy Magazine this month, but her pictures came back over developed."
Jim Ross: "You can't ever say anything nice about this young lady, can you?"
Jim Cornette: "That's not true. She has the prettiest smile I ever came across." - Dec. 1989

Also, see any Tito Santana match commentated by Jesse Ventura. I think you mean Chico Santana. ![O_o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/browraise.png) Also, I seem to recall Heenan making fun of Santana upon losing a '93 KOTR match, one of Tito's last televised matches no less, by singing a brief reworked version of the Chiquita Banana song.

I'm also sure he refered to Tito as the Greatest Mexican Wrestler of All Time at one point. I laughed so hard.

Jesse was on Piper's Pit and they were talking about Uncle Elmer's wedding and Jesse alluded to abortion when Piper asked if he could imagine what their kids would be like, and Jesse replied with something like "If ever there was a cause for.. and the sound dropped out or Piper caught the reference, but it was obvious what he was getting at-not that abortion is funny, but un pc by today's standards

Lou Albano (when albano was a heel) and Jimmy Hart, "A walking advertisement for birth control".

I think it was pretty un-P.C. when Akeem was announced as being from "Deepest, Darkest Africa".

What is un-pc about those comments?
