Right, but the idea was that he was "The Final Solution" to end Hulkamania. And didn't Sullivan hpe him as such for a week or two before his debut? Either way, you can't go calling someone "The Final Solution" on television. Later that same year Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker was re-christened 'Jack Boot', a term which most connate with boots worn by the Nazis. Were they trying to get WCW moved onto the History Channel or something? I wonder if the genius behind the aborted Hirohito and Unfrozen Nazi Heidenreich was on the booking staff in 1996.

It was the elephant in the room that the commentators largely ignored, but the Truth Commission were basically representing South African apartheid

On a Pipers Pit Sal Bellomo came out and Piper said "I Was looking for JYD I didnt order a Pizza" and then proceeded to call him a "stupid wop" That was part of the charm of Roddy Piper. He was somewhat "real" in that he didn't pull any punches when it came to insulting guys. In turn, you paid your money to see him hopefully get the crap kicked out of him. (True, it was cheap heat, but heat nonetheless.)

OK, I made that last one up.

What's so offensive about 'wop'? it means "without passport", based on a once-commonly held belief that many Italian immigrants came into North America illegally.

I can't really remember who said it or who it was to (I think it was Jerry Lawler to Kamala) but a white wrestler cut a promo on a black wrestler saying "The only thing I can't give you is a thick lip and a black eye!"
Cheap heat at its finest folks.

Didnt Lawler also say of The Rock in USWA (When he was Flex Kevana)
"He's half black and half samoan, his dad could dunk a basketball and his mother could eat one"
