Tonight seemed to show definitively, once and for all, that Brad Maddox is in fact NOT working for CM Punk/Heyman, with Maddox being brutally told off by a disgusted, disinterested Heyman. Thusly, it really would seem that Maddox was just a deluded moron in the right place at the right time for CM Punk's championship reign.
Yet, in comes The Shield, again saving Punk. Granted, the Shield has made many random attacks on faces, but, as everyone keeps acknowledging on air, there does seem to be a definite pattern being established...
So, I want to know the views of the board on this issue. Vote yes or no, and then give me your booking logic. I'm really curious to know.

My thoughts were that Heyman got Maddox to screw Ryback in the first place, but now he just wants nothing to do with him since he has outlived his usefulness. Also, he doesn't want to be seen on camera with him discussing any past or future business they have together. As for the Shield, I have no idea.

The attack tonight sort of sealed the deal for "yes" in my opinion. I feel like if it's revealed they're not now, their ambiguous "justice" schtick just becomes a bunch of nonsense and they look like deeply ideaologically confused idiots instead of vicious, frightening psychos.

I bet WWE hasn't even decided who The Shield is working for.

I hope they progress this soon because WWE is hurting its product with the same non-finishes in big matches over the last few months.

They're working for themselves. The problem is they hate Ryback. They got into the Hobbit recently, and they started roleplaying and they targeted Ryback because he looks like Azog the white orc. Maddox was in the Bilbo Baggins role, but the rest of the SHEILD thought he was too big of a nerd, so they didn't let him join their LARPers group, now he's just kind of by himself. Yes, I used this joke in the Raw thread, but I don't care. It needed to be shared with the world.

I'd say it strongly depends on the exact drug smoked before the creative meeting of any given show.

I think they're working for/with Maddox, and all four are trying to ingratiate themselves with Heyman and Punk.
On that note, how many of the Shield's beatdowns have been about something other than saving Punk or going after someone who'd won a match against Maddox? The only one I can think of is Rey and Sin Cara, and that was to write Sin Cara out over a legit injury.

No, Heyman or Rock, IMO. Maybe both. ROCK!? PLEASE DO SATE YOUR LOGIC. Easy, he wants Punk and hired his cousin and two other guys to ensure it happens.

Totally Heyman. That's why there's some sort of relationship between he and Maddox. Heyman used him, and it'll likely result in Maddox exposing the truth to Punk, and it'll snowball from there.

Well, duh. How could it be anything but that? It's typical Legacy/Cabinet/La Familia/Generic Heel Cult #4387.

Shield is working for Brock.
Hunter squashes them all at Mania.

No.
And why do they automatically have to be working for someone?

Tonight showed me that the only reason the Shield was formed is to interfere in matches so the writers don't have to think to much. I bet u there is no long term plan for the Shield.
