I guess I just don't get it, at least in terms of OH WOW LOOK AT THE STRENGTH. It looks like he's just lifting the lower half of their body as the opponent is doing most of the work keeping themselves up.

He IS lifting up the lower half of their body. But he manages to maintain his base despite holding all that weight. Also, #Hands2Balls.

With a big guy, he's supporting them while they do a handstand on his bent knees. Not easy. Just because he's not lifting them over his head and doing a border-toss doesn't mean it doesn't take strength. The crowd popped huge for it last night, it's effective. As a regular finisher on small guys, it might not be completely devastating, but how many modern finishers really are?

I guess my issue was the announcers sell it so hard as such a feat of strength while visually it isn't as impressive as it actually is.

Probably takes more strength to pull it off than it actually does to pick someone up for a fireman's carry or body slam, where they can more easily help out by hopping up.

YOU do that to a 400lber and see how easy it is.
Look at the difference between that move and a pile driver. He is clearly deadlifting them

It looks impressive. Doesn't matter how real it is. Wrestling isn't real. But as long as it's fun to watch it's doing it's job.

I don't get all the hate this move gets or when people call it a styles clash.. I believe somebody did the finisher in WCW back in the day. Or it was Stevie Ray's finisher on WCW Revenge..
It's great looking and unique and seems relatively safe. I agree he has a lot of moves in his arsenal though that look great.

It isn't. Looks like crap, and has no impact.
Now, is it impressive as a lift? ...sure. Deadlifting 400 lbs isn't easy, but isn't exactly impossible, or noteworthy.

It's weird, Khali actually looks small when Cesaro does the Neutralizer to him. Wonder how BIg Show would sell it.

It's impressive because you can tell the guy doesn't jump up with it. Cesaro just deadlifts him. As for impact, no it doesn't have much.

People used to complain about the FU/AA and I've always bought into that move too. I suppose I agree with The Worm, that's crappy impact, but it's tonnes of fun.

I can guarantee most people couldn't do that. As mentioned, he's also dealing with the extra weight they're applying to his knees. It's incredible to have the strength needed for that.

Do people who have a problem with the impact have an issue with the X-Factor, Pedigree, Style's Clash, Angel's Wings, or any other move that ends in a similar impact? If he hooked their arms, would it somehow be different?

Early FU/AA was awful, he just sorta dropped them, then came the flinging and dropping down with them. Now, I think Cesaro has a lot of potential, he's great in the ring. But why end with such a slow and boring move after such brilliant displays beforehand?
