If you don't understand why Trent was fired, I'm guessing it's because you don't work there. Also... probably because you've never seen him on TV either. He didn't improve and he stayed boring and unentertaining. Not a stunning situation we have here. There's this: And then there was this: I don't understand anything about this post.

Why on earth would Ryder be released? Has anyone bothered to check out how much merch they sell of his? He ranks in the top 5 of having the most merch made with his image on it.
Good grief.

Yeah, I'm saying Trent is dull and the guy at the top brings intensity to the smallest things he does (his entrance). I.E. Trent stayed boring in every way and was shown the door accordingly.

It can't be Ryder. He's being promoted on .com's main page. One last effort to sell a few t-shirts and broski headbands before they give him the axe tomorrow.

I don't understand anything about this post. Trent was released because he wasn't on TV because he wasn't improving because he wasn't given the TV time to improve. you can add flair to your matches without being on TV

Trent was released because he wasn't on TV because he wasn't improving because he wasn't given the TV time to improve. Jim Ross (you know, the ex-Talent Relations guy) always says the #1 thing a talent needs to do is maximize their minutes, in the ring but also out of the ring. So by your logic, WWE didn't give him enough time to do that?? Trent had been wrestling 4 years before WWE, 3 years in WWE Developmental and 3 years on the main roster. So I'm pretty certain Trent's had some time to show if he's worth having around or not.

I was telling Jimmy what the other poster was talking about. I personally don't think Trent needs to improve and that he's good enough as he is. He was great on ECW and the short time he was on Smackdown in the feud with Drew McIntyre.

Then you said it meant he wasn't given enough TV time to improve. Which is not at all what I said. That's all.

Guess that Austin guy in WCW didn't maximize his minutes in the several years WCW gave him, guess he didn't show enough to prove he was worth keeping around. And no, I'm sorry, but as a few other people said along with me a few pages ago so much of the cliches spouted off by JR and other guys in the front office are pure bulls***. A lot of it is being in the right place at the right time, or just being lucky. The hardest working guys do not always get the payoff for their work they deserve (with Punk basically saying as much with his Tyson Kidd reference).

A lot of it is being in the right place at the right time, or just being lucky. The hardest working guys do not always get the payoff for their work they deserve (with Punk basically saying as much with his Tyson Kidd reference). 1. I never said fired = no talent. Lots of wrestlers are super talented. That doesn't mean they can make it in the big leagues. Fact of life. 2. Not sure why you're comparing Trent's release to Austin's in WCW. Night and day difference, my friend. 3. How is what JR said a cliche? It's the entertainment business. There's a reason Ziggler repeats JR's phrase all the time in interviews and says he follows that mantra every day. And we can clearly see that he does. And we can also clearly see that he's rewarded for it. 4. I don't know what you're getting at with Kidd. Yeah he's not getting the most attention but he's still got a job and people love him all the same. If you're trying to imply that right now is a hard time for smaller guys to get noticed and rewarded in WWE, I'm going to kinda laugh at that.

I think you really have to be mired in the FCW/NXT fandom bubble to draw an Austin/Baretta comparison.

As long as JR is singing the praises of Jack Swagger being a main event talent while telling others to step up I'll not take his thoughts seriously. Guy became senile in his time away.
Of course I am also unsure how a guy getting 3 minutes a month on NXT is supposed to maximize his time. He's simply fallen into the same spot as guys like Percy Watson and sadly Derrick Bateman who were called up with no plan for them and then screwed over more when NXT became developmental. They aren't given a shot on main roster TV or any sort of house shows but still expected to improve.
