Kinda a redundant question but one I'd thought I should ask. So as many know i've had housing issues with the main one in charge not being at the house anymore. Our cable and internet got shut off and its long overdue that I get it back but I really don't watch that much TV.
I always used to pay a flat fee that included tv and internet. But now if I decide to have both i'll actually have to find something to watch.
Really can't like pretty much most shows on TV be watched online anyways?
I'm not really a sports fan so that really isn't a big loss for me.

When my TV stopped working and I was too lazy to buy a new one, I relied solely on the Internet to keep myself entertained, but never really "kept up" with anything.

usually I just watch Sportscentre with my morning coffee. I tend to watch TV shows on DVD now, the only exception being Game of Thrones, and that's only on for 10 weeks a year anyway.

I flip around and sometimes it's force of habit. G4 is almost gone ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) and really I could do without tv. I have what I want online and there are even old tv shows on youtube and of course that is my MTV now, so eventually it will taper off and my tv will just be used for internet stuff

I watch TV everyday. I have Netflix and could get by but it doesn't have all my shows for streaming.

I still like to watch TV to pass the time, but there isn't anything I really follow aside from the new TMNT, MASH reruns, Fraiser, and the occasional sports + wrestling.

I dunno i have a bunch of movies collecting dust and i actually watched two the other night. I may cave in because it won't be the same going in threads for wrestling shows and not being able to watch and commentate with you peeps.

I'm definitely thinking of cancelling my cable and just going with Netflix and Hulu Plus. I need to get one of those streaming boxes though, as I refuse to let my 360 or PS3 be on all day just to stream stuff.
At this point, TV is just background noise to me and the shows I watch are either on one of those services, can be downloaded from Amazon they day after they air, or.... if I'm desperate, torrents.

Yes buy only really sports live, everything else I record or watch via catch-up services (and now they're on Sky+ too so I nearly always watch them on a TV).

I prefer to watch shows as they happen, so i can avoid spoilers (to be fair, i do use my DVR, but i only use it to tape shows that are airing opposite something im already watching).

My roommate and I are ditching cable soon. We've had it for the past year since we had a great deal before with TV/internet/phone (even though we don't use the phone), but it's about to jump another $40-$50 a month, so screw that. Neither of us watches enough shows to put up with it, plus there are other ways to watch sports and the shows we do have any interest in.
In terms of keeping up with TV in general, I basically only use TV at this point for sports, sometimes for news (though I really dislike cable news), and for VERY few shows. I'm weird about that; I'll watch the first episode of a show like Boardwalk Empire, finish it, say "Wow, that was really well done", and then have absolutely no interest in watching another episode. Happens with almost every show I see, I just don't care enough to sit through it all.
I have a couple exceptions (It's Always Sunny, Legend of Korra), but most of the shows I actually care about are just a half hour long and typically show up on Netflix. I guess I keep up with TNA, too, but still, not worth the jump in cable price.

Television is great. There's lots of great shows now. I watch TV and support them. My TV is sweet. I like getting dinner and watching my TV. Sometimes I have friends over to watch TV with me. On rare occasions, we all eat dinner together while watching TV. Mostly we just watch TV.

I cancelled my cable TV over a year ago. I only really watch two shows and I can watch them either online or wait for them to show up on video.

I watch sports and some other shows that I like that come on once a week.
If my TV were to go out this week somehow, I'd probably just go to a sports bar and watch any big games they have on and see if I can find my other favorite shows somewhere online.

There will always be live news and sports, though I guess there could come a time when we watch streams of these events rather than through cable/satellite TV broadcasts.
Most of the sitcoms/dramas I watch recordings later at my convenience.
The things I watch when they are broadcast are stuff like WWE Raw, TNA Impact, sometimes Daily Show and Colbert (sometime I watch re-runs or recordings), some news, and some sports.
