If true, I would fire him right away. An NFL team doesn't need a coach who doesn't care about his staff. Crap like this shows he has no ethics at all.

Well, so much for "I'm committed to Oregon."

Has a new verb officially been created? Did Oregon just get Saban'd?

Owners could care less about ethics as long as you win

Owners could care less about ethics as long as you win A lot of times having no ethics is exactly why you can't win. Look at Jim Schwartz and his Lions team that has no acountability or discipline and has fallen apart at the seams. Or Rex Ryan's Jets team for that matter.

83-42. You go home now, JJ. I'll say this again, as much as people hate the Pats, they dont talk nearly as much trash as most teams. You rearely see any of them say anything like this when they lose.

The Patriots are like a Renaissance mercenary company. They're incredibly disciplined and talented and have no emotions whatsoever. They win and they're like "whatever." They lose and they're like "whatever." People who don't meet Condottiero Belichick's standards get the axe even if they're more useful than not (Oh hai, Benjarvus Green-Ellis). If they get the upper hand over a team they just keep pushing them and win by insane margins. If the tide turns against them they don't really give a damn and are more than happy to fall apart as long as they get paid.

Because John Fox and Matt Prater gifted the Ravens that game. The game was much closer than Seattle/Atlanta, but the Ravens still had a lot of help. And you're assuming that they wouldn't have scored if Holliday hadn't taken those kicks to the house, when they really weren't struggling to move the ball. It wasn't a "gift." You're taking it for granted that Denver was guaranteed to score on those drives. It's not like the Seattle game where all they had to do on their two bungled scoring attempts was kick field goals. The Falcons are a dome team so it's not like that would've been hard to make, even for a replacement kicker. I agree that the knee in the 4th quarter was a massive mistake but Denver essentially got 14 gimme points. Denver only scored 3 TDs otherwise. Two returns for TDs in any game is a highly unlikely occurrence. A lot more unlikely than a team being able to kick two field goals in perfect conditions. I don't take it for granted so much as I'm going off how the Broncos had been playing, which is very well. And kickoff returns aren't fumble recoveries. They don't happen that often, but it isn't a random act of God either. Between an incredible botched kick (I have never seen a kicker hit mostly grass before hitting the ball before) and either Rahim Moore getting overaggressive or just not being coached up for that situation, it took a lot of luck to push it to overtime. Fox's quote about "just wanting to get out of the round" is everything that is wrong with him as a head coach. Had he actually been playing to win, the Broncos might have won that game.

How do you distribute blame pie to Seattle and Denver for their playoff losses?
Here's mine:
Denver 40 percent John Fox 30 percent Rahim Moore 25 percent Peyton Manning 5 percent refs
Seattle Pete Carroll 80 percent Marshawn Lynch 20 percent

The entire secondary got burned all day, not just Rahim despite him wanting to put all the blame on himself. I've never seen Champ get burned like that - he got schooled by Smith all day long.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports deposed Bears coach Lovie Smith is expected to sit out the 2013 season and "reconsider his options next offseason."
A source with knowledge of Michael Vick’s thought process "previously suggested" to Profootballtalk Vick would be open to remaining with the Eagles if they hired Chip Kelly or Jon Gruden.
According to the Miami Herald, impending free agent Matt Moore will seek a starting job.

Denver's Loss:
40% Coaching - Way too conservative playcalling that cost Denver a lot of opportunities to win the game. 30% Secondary - Awful job at playing against Baltimore's receivers 15% Matt Prater - If not for that godawful kick, the game likely would've ended in regulation. 10% Peyton Manning - Bad decision INT resulted in the Ravens' winning in OT, but if not for the above factors would not have happened. 5% refs - Some really bad calls that benefited Baltimore in the early game but Denver overcame this for the most part.
Seattle's Loss:
85% Pete Carroll, which makes me extremely happy. I hate that douche. 10% Defense - Was asleep the first half of the game. 5% Lynch - Bad fumble, but ultimately it didn't matter a whole lot with how badly Seattle's defense was playing at the time.

If the Eagles could ever fix their line, I really like Vick and those weapons as it is. Never mind in Kelly's system.
