That should be enough from here. Bear in mind that he contributed to the PPV buy record (it did beat out last year's Mania), so that's a big reason why he's in.

Regardless of the controversy surrounding him, he's probably the most "deserving" celebrity induction so far... Well, he's done the most stuff with them (hosted WM IV and V in his arena, Battle Of The Billionaires, started celebrity RAW GMs), anyway.

AGAIN, WWE has never inducted less than 7 people per class (with the exception of Andre in 93) and have never had less than 6 inductions per year. There's still one or two more inductions yet to be announced. Probably one posthumously.
Also the WWE Hall of Fame is fine for the next 10 plus years with the amount of people they can induct and the headliners they have to work with.
EDIT: As for Trump, he deserves it from the point of him working with WWE enough. Cyndi Lauper is probably more deserving given her link to MTV and helping to make the first WrestleMania a success. Thus securing Vince McMahon's legacy. But WWE wants more media attention and Trump will give it to them.

I have no issue with Trump being in. He's been one of the more prolific celebrity personalities in WWE in terms of Manias 4, 5, and 23. Plus he was the unofficial first Guest GM during the Guest Host era.

His induction show go on immediately after Bruno's, for maximum trolling.

For fans who can't discern difference between 'honorary' celeb wing #WWEHOF inductions & those who wrestled, etc please wise up. That is all

I think it'll be awesome. Trump, who played the face in the Hair vs Hair feud with McMahon with Bobby Lashley...sorry, Lesley - knowing the absolute massive bellend that he is will be expecting to be a star turn and get all the cheers for being the main stream guy - but the crowd will LITERALLY (/Monsoon) crap ALL over this and boo him completely out of the building.
Donald Tump having to face a smarky New York crowd? Awesome. I hope we have about 14,000 people chanting 'You're not worthy' and I think they will. Therefore perversely I cannot wait for this induction

I'd say a lot of the hate comes from personal animosity as opposed to reasons why he shouldn't be there. Granted, he isn't a top 5 celeb they need, IMO, but it's not that bad. I mean he indeed is far more deserving than either Drew Carey or William Perry.

Indeed. Trump is well deserving as far as celebrity qualifications go. For the celebrity wing to be complete, he'd have to go in eventually. I only have two issues.
1) He beat out probably the most deserving celebrity induction, Cyndi Lauper. Her status solidified Vince McMahon's legacy. It doesn't get any more deserving than that with WWE. In a year and place where they probably could have gotten her to participate, it seems wasted.
2) Trump himself is an absolutely disgusting turd.
That said, they'll probably drop money down from the ceiling during his induction.

so we have........ Sammartino (Headliner/Old School) Foley (Headliner/Current) Backlund (Territory Star) Trish (Diva) Trump (Celebrity)
So I think what's left is a posthumous, a tag team/faction/family, non -wrestler, (manager/announcer) and more modern popular mid carder .
possibilties? Posthumous: Bigelow, Pillman, Rick Rude Team, Group, Family: Freebirds, Demolition, rock and roll express, non wrestler: Lord Alfred, popular upper mid carder: Honky Tonk Man, King Kong Bundy, Kamala, DDP, Jake Roberts

One thing is for certain, a minority will be inducted. They will not have an all white class. Kamala is a good bet.
As for the posthumous induction, from what it sounds like they tried to get Owen Hart. Though I'm guessing by now they've found an alternate. I am hoping for someone like Toots Mondt or Willie Gilzenberg. But Rick Rude, Shohei Baba, Lord Alfred Hayes, Ray Stevens, Adrian Adonis, or a tag team like the Fabulous Freebirds would be good.

I would have preferred Lauper (or Mr. T, who may not have been an option), but Trump is worthy enough for being there at WrestleMania IV and V (at Trump Plaza) and for doing The Battle of the Billionaires. I don't like the man, but he is worthy of the Celebrity Wing.

The fact that Donald Trump is in while guys like Randy Savage and Jake Roberts are not is completely disgusting. It genuinely makes me want to see the WWE go out of business.

It's a CELEBRITY WING, designed to garner a little media attention. And WWE also spreads out inductions-people don't go in in any specific order so saying one gets in before another is not a logical argument.
