I think he was referring to guys who were WWWF/WWF Champions. Those 6 get in, and every WWF Champion through to mid-1998 would be in the Hall Of Fame. Nash and Sid as well

But I have to wonder about Stasiak, not that I'm questioning his accomplishments; I just don't know much about them. He was the most transitional of champions, and I don't know how long he stuck around the territory before and after his win. Aside from his era and being a past champion, how much of an impact did he really make?

Yeah, I forgot about Nash for some odd reason...still he essentially is a lock. But I have to wonder about Stasiak, not that I'm questioning his accomplishments; I just don't know much about them. He was the most transitional of champions, and I don't know how long he stuck around the territory before and after his win. Aside from his era and being a past champion, how much of an impact did he really make? Yeah, I essentially thought the same thing. I don't know enough, but he is the essential transitional champion, so I think you could make enough of an argument there maybe. Granted, he wouldn't be a headliner, but I think if you induct everyone else who was champion, you'd almost have to include him.

I was born in the early '80s, so I didn't see anything from Stasiak. I may have seen a clip of him winning the WWWF Championship on the History of WWE Championship DVD, but that's about it. I never hear him mentioned as one of the greats from the 1970s. I have seen Ivan Koloff's latter years with Jim Crockett Promotions and I do hear more about him as a legend of the 1970s. I'd guess Ivan Koloff is more deserving, but I'll admit I am no expert of the 1970s stars.

As a part of being in the HOF this year, WWE pulled Bruno from all his appearances that were scheduled at that time but WWE did a pretty good make good (IMO):
WWE STAR REPLACING BRUNO SAMMARTINO AT WRESTLECON by Mike Johnson @ 4:46 PM on 3/1/2013
William Regal will be signing at Wrestlecon in Secaucus, New Jersey on Wrestlemania Sunday 4/7 from 10 AM - 12 PM.
Regal is replacing Bruno Sammartino, who was booked to appear at the event by Sal Corrente's WrestleReunion. With Bruno now booked for all of his WWE Hall of Fame obligations and Wrestlemania, WWE offered Corrente William Regal as a replacement.

Is he getting plastered with Khali and Hornswoggle that night after the HOF? He is, isn't he?

But that image is intriguing, we need to make it happen FANners.

Surely Paul Bearer should be in the Hall Of Fame this year.

Surely Paul Bearer should be in the Hall Of Fame this year. It was depressing enough to learn he wasn't already in, so yes I'm 100% on-board for this idea. I just hope the same people that have before for others don't come out and try to ruin it all with the "Its far too soon!!" argument which I'll never understand.

It might be too soon to approach his family about it. But then again it's a month away, in the New York area, and I'm sure they'd be touched to have him honored in such a way.
They usually don't induct people who aren't working for WWE that pass into the very next class. But this is so close to the HoF and again, his family would be in the region. I could see where there'd be a push for it.
A real shame because I think Paul Bearer was just a year or two away from being inducted anyways.
Just who was WWE going to induct posthumously this year anyway?

Paul Bearer deserves to go in, but I don't think it necessarily needs to be at next month's show. I would be fine with waiting a year or until WWE feels the time is right based on who else they want to induct and what Undertaker and/or Kane is doing. They may want to induct Bearer when they induct Undertaker. They may want to induct Undertaker first. Maybe Bearer first. They may want to induct Undertaker and Bearer at separate years. They could have Kane and Undertaker induct Bearer together. I say let WWE decide when it is best to induct him. I understand why there is a sudden impulse to want him in next month, but he'll go in. It's all about when is the right time.

Well I hope they don't skip the posthumous induction this year (as we haven't heard much about it). There are far too many deserving people who have died that haven't been inducted and Paul Bearer's death just drives the point home.

I hate to say it but i'd pass on Bearer this year. He deserves to go in but he goes in this year, it's like they're only putting him in because he's dead.

I'm against the 'just died' entries.
For people say it's an outrage X or Y aren't in - if everyone who should be in was inducted this year or in one go - what for next year?

I agree with putting Paul Bearer in this year, it'd be a great tribute to him.

Just who was WWE going to induct posthumously this year anyway? Probably Bam Bam, at least that's what my friends were speculating. I honestly would wait on Paul too. It's a bit soon and the WWE should not appear crass. If they want a manager induction, there is always Slick.

Problem with this years is it is already stacked, and if they put him in, you would think they would want him on the TV part of it for a proper tribute to him, instead of people waiting for the DVD of it. I don't know it's just something to think about, but I am fine either way this year or next. If next year is to be Takers final WM match, I would do it then as it would make sense in that way maybe with them both going in.
Is there any update on the time constraints this year for each inductee? I hated when they introduced the clock a few years ago (though I understand why they did it), but the inductee deserve and need more time both individually and as a class to say everything that they should and need to say.
