bigstory.ap.org/article/armstrong-ready-oprah-comes-townAUSTIN, Texas (AP) — A person familiar with the situation says Lance Armstrong confessed to Oprah Winfrey during an interview Monday that he used performance-enhancing drugs to win the Tour de France.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the interview is to be broadcast Thursday on Winfrey's network. He also met with the people who work for Livestrong and apologized to them but didn't say what for. It's also come out he tried to bribe USADA at two different points as well.

I mean .... no s***. Of course he did. They all did.
If people loved him for his battle with cancer and what he has contributed towards cancer research, this won't change that.
The people he threw under the bus along the way on the other hand may proceed to hammer him flat.

He's gonna be out a lot of money now as any one he successfully sued for saying he was a cheat will be getting that money back and then some.

Add that to the others who were caught or admitted to doping and that means that, I think, almost every Tour De France winner of the past decade and a half have done some sort of doping during the course of their careers.

Andy Schleck, I don't think he has. I also believe guys like Mark Cavendish (probably the best TdF sprinter ever), Cadel Evans and Bradley Wiggins are clean also. Now Andy's brother Frank, is a different story. He's definitely used, and was caught last year.

I can't remember the exact number, but in the seven Tour de France won by Armstrong, if you look at the top-five finishers each year (so 35 racers in total, but there were some guys finishing top-five more than once), only three have never been implicated in drugs claims.

Is it blood doping? Because I know that blood doping is something that's becoming a problem in other endurance sports as well as combat sports, which require a lot of endurance.

There's a reason the US Doping Agency has such a good track record against athletes, they don't bring up accusations lightly.

Still the best cyclist of the era. If all the elite did it and you beat them all then you are still the best.
