The Intercontinental Champion beat a Main Eventer clean with his finisher, and they just immediately moved on with the show as if it was a normal occurrence...which is something I actually like. By not making it look like a big deal that Wade beat Orton, it didn't make him look weak.

But......Cena beat Ziggler again!! So we shouldn't be able to complain about that? And I'm glad, Orton's ability to put guys over and still remain a threat is what I love about him as a face.

It was an interesting thing to do, of course because of the placement of it and the length of the show, you kinda get mind-wiped by the end of the show, and forget it.

I do like the way that Orton can lose cleanly to midcard heels and not look weak in the process. It's something I wish they'd do with Cena. At the very least, letting a heel get some victories, clean or not, develops the feud. "You beat you, you were good, but I'm going to beat you back." Beating a guy over and over and over again renders the point of building feuds to be worthless.
Long story short, Ziggler needs to work with Orton sooner rather than later.

Well, it's Wade Barrett. He's a midcard champion but they don't really treat him like a midcarder. For some reason he still has some residual heat from Nexus and throwing Orton down the stairs/
If the IC Champion was someone like Kofi, or Santino, and they won a non-title match, THEN I would be surprised. But Wade Barrett is actually on the same level as Orton and the rest of the uppercard

He's got a case of the pre-heel-turn losing. It happens to the best of them.

Yeah, I got vibes that the loss was supposed to start building to the heel turn.

I don't really consider Orton a main eventer anymore, so it wasn't very surprising.

Good point on the heel turn. Best to put over some guys before the face run comes to an end.
...of course, I wouldn't be surprised by a SmackDown rematch cause "WWE booking".

I don't really consider Orton a main eventer anymore, so it wasn't very surprising. I do. To me it seems like most of the so-called "midcard", except for maybe Kofi, Cesaro, and Sandow, are just main eventers who can't fit into the World Title picture right now and are just waiting for their turn.

The weird thing was - I couldn't watch this match. Even though it was on, I couldn't pay attention to it. I swear I've seen these two battle before and I find neither that interesting right now. I was surprised to hear Barrett won after the fact.

But......Cena beat Ziggler again!! Long-run, Ziggler doesn't matter. Wade's got the look and I think he'll ultimately go farther that the Z-man will. Besides, he got a win over Cena. That's something...right?

If this was to build toward a heel turn I really don't like having him do the face run-in save half an hour later. Just keep him away from all that, Ryback and Sheamus could have done fine.

The fact that a heel won without doing any sort of cheating stood out more than the victory itself.
