@bryandfischer ND thought Te’o was going to address the story on Monday. According to Te’o’s timeline, he still thought the girl was real then…
@robjones502 So Te'o knew it was a hoax before the BCS title game and it affected his play, but wasn't convinced she was fake until 2 days ago?
Same things over and over again. Nothing Te'o says clears up anything. All he keeps doing is mucking up his own messed up time lines again and again and again.

Wait wait wait, he admitted to having another girlfriend in the fall after the "love of his life" had died?

Wait wait wait, he admitted to having another girlfriend in the fall after the "love of his life" had died? I think it was reported he had one at the time "she died" and was sleeping around during the "relationship".

@chitribhamilton Why didn't Te'o visit GF in hospital? Te'o to ESPN: "It never really crossed my mind. I don't know. I was in school."
I know when I've had people I love in the hospital it never really crossed my mind to visit them either.
That quote seriously might be the most damning one I've read yet.

Alright, he's guilty as f***. The love of your life has cancer (or were they referring to the car crash? Either way, really) and it doesn't cross your mind to pay her a visit? How?
Bullshit. Absolute bullshit.

Te'o is getting THRASHED on Twitter for saying it never crossed his mind to visit his girlfriend (HE WAS IN LOVE WITH) at the hospital.
I think what ever naivete was left for his defenders just got extinguished with that. Didn't help that he only did this interview as long as there was a restriction on audio. Why? If you're just clearing the air why wouldn't you be willing to commit it to tape?

That way he can say that he was misquoted and what really happened was that he found out that she was having a threeway with Bigfoot and the Stanford Tree.

Seriously though. If the "love of your life" is dying in the hospital, and you've never actually met her in person, wouldn't you run there as fast as you can? So you can spend actual time with her before she died?

Im more and more convinced of this man's innocence and all I have to say to the rest of you is shame on you for condemning this man before the facts came out. - He and his family both said they met her, and that she came to Hawaii to their house. Now he's saying that he embellished that. - She was in the hospital, but not once did he visit her. She was only the "love of his life". - He still put forth the story after finding out she was fake. It all adds up to him being guilty in this. He's been hiding behind Notre Dame's PR machine. The same school that jumps to help him, but brushed off allegations of rape against a football player. Manti and Notre Dame are looking like shit right now.

If he is as stupid as everyone believes he is, then why would people think he was smart enough to make this lie. 3. Have you ever seen how much a ticket costs to go from Indiana to California? That's a bit expensive to go there even if your girlfriend is on her death bed. 4. If he got duped, of course he would try to hide that he was a victim. It's almost like.............and I really hate to say this (espescially when ironically we have talked about Notre Dame covering up a rape allegation that led to someone's suicide)..........a rape victim hiding the fact that she was raped. I'm not praising him for his actuons, I'm merely saying I understand how this could happen.

1. Why in the hell would his family go along with this and lie as well? What kind of family wants to out their national superstar kid as a liar and jeopardize his reputation in the eye of the public? Plus, with Notre Dame being as corrupt as they are, I'm sure they bribed the parents as an incentive to keep their mouths shut over it. 2. If he is as stupid as everyone believes he is, then why would people think he was smart enough to make this lie. The main reason being it's not a well thought out lie. It's got plotholes all over the place - it's at best a Lifetime movie. It's just awful. 3. Have you ever seen how much a ticket costs to go from Indiana to California? That's a bit expensive to go there even if your girlfriend is on her death bed. Okay, if he had said that he didn't have the funds necessary, I can understand that. But he said it never crossed his mind. Imagine having a loved one on their death bed from cancer, surely it'd cross your mind, right? He said it never crossed his mind - despite the fact that this was the love of his life. 4. If he got duped, of course he would try to hide that he was a victim. It's almost like.............and I really hate to say this (espescially when ironically we have talked about Notre Dame covering up a rape allegation that led to someone's suicide)..........a rape victim hiding the fact that she was raped. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was Catfish'd and he tried to hide it - but the "never crossed my mind" bit just sealed the deal, for me. There's no way he's innocent - and if he's trying to hide the fact that he got duped, he's not doing a good job literally every time he's opened his mouth since. I'm not praising him for his actuons, I'm merely saying I understand how this could happen.[/quote] It happens to people - I don't believe Manti is one of those people.

Plus when he continued to perpetuate the lie well after being "duped".
December 8th he's telling reporters his girlfriend died of cancer when his story would have you believe he found out everything Dec 6th.
In an interview in SI in October he talks about how they met etc, goin in great detail. NOW it was "only online".
He's lying, and has been.
