I think Heyman's scoffing at WCW back in 1995 was understandable. How many years did WCW keep bringing in new people (Jim Herd, Bill Watts, Ole Anderson) to oversee the product only to have them either quit or be fired due to how lousy the reception of their product was?
But he was wrong to dismiss WCW so immediately. They won the first week in the ratings, then it went back and forth for about a year, then WCW dominated for 18 months.
Let's not forget too. Heyman worked for WCW just a couple of years earlier. Probably didn't like the way things worked down there based on personal experience.

I know Heyman is a slime ball but damn I could listen to him talk about wrestling all f***ing day. +1 That and how he can spin anything into where - even though he's dead-wrong - he can say it in a way where he can say "I was right about...". (The man does more spinning and dancing around than Baryshnikov; he's made it into an art form.)
