Wouldn't the last remnant of the Brand Split be the Big Gold Belt around Del Rio's waist?

Now there is no excuse not to unify the two world titles!

Good, I always hated the brand split. The decline of the Brand Split has caused a lot of long-term damage. Having the Brand Split forced them to use and build up mid-carders and give feuds and storylines to a much larger component of the roster. Now there's even less reason to catch a show because any main eventer is pretty much guaranteed to make an appearance. No episode feels like it has any particular amount of weight to it or special attraction.

Doubt they're willing to give up being able to have a WWE title match in one city and a World title match in another on the same night. Plus, it allows them to have two MITB matches and gives a hook for after the Royal Rumble every year.

Just do the old Ringling Brothers way. Have a Red circuit and a Blue circuit. Red hits the bigger metros, Blue hits the smaller ones.
Roate the wrestlers every other week so you will not know who is on each, keep it fresh, and make sure the big names are on both brands.

Now there is no excuse not to unify the two world titles! This. Scrap the World Heavyweight Title. Let the Intercontinental Title be the #2 belt, and have Cesaro replace the U.S. Title with the European Title.

Well, we got what we wanted.
Now we just need a New Nation and we'll have to come up with new demands.

They should keep the brand split and actually stay true to it in all honesty. With the brand split it allowed us to see guys who wouldn't have gotten a push receive one now. Just think about it.
Would we have seen the rise(to some extent) of Dolph Ziggler? Cesaro? Del Rio? Daniel Bryan? Or even Punk? I say keep the brand split and actually stick with it. That way when other wrestlers from another brand appears it's actually a big deal.

It's because WWE have forgotten, or intentionally refuse to grasp the concept of building a card from top to bottom. This was their major problem even during the brand split as well. The brand split simply diluted an already weak roster because they haven't had the depth of talent required to maintain one strong and structured roster let alone two. In WWE's mind, only the main eventers count. The mid card titles are neglected, the tag team division is haphazard, womens wrestling basically doesn't exist and cruiserweight wrestling actually doesn't exist. WWE's booking stupidity has caused the real damage

WWE's booking stupidity has caused the real damage I disagree on the depth issue. Even some of the lamest midcarders were at least over in 2005 and 2006. WWE's roster was thin but because they used all their guys and girls they got the most out of them. And the match quality was way better because the main stars were used more sparingly. As stupid as their booking was, the brand split was like a muzzle on a mean dog. They couldn't do the thing they weren't supposed to do because it was physically impossible. The brand split forced them to squeeze everything they had for all it was worth.

Put me in the camp that thinks dropping the brand split has done nothing but bite them on the ass. Kind of their own fault, given most of the people on the roster they seem to intentionally let sit doing basically nothing of substance so there might as well be a third of the people there actually are.

If WWE want to progress, they have to structure the roster. Pack the show from the top to bottom, with defined divisions, all offering something different. Resist the temptation to sacrifice a mid-carder or a tag team member to a main event star for a meaningless defeat on a throwaway episode of Raw or Smackdown.

I think after WM29, they'd be able to afford to have just one World Title.
- The Rock will be out of the picture and no longer casting a huge shadow over the WWE Title scene. - John Cena is pretty much a "full time special attraction now". I think what they're trying to do with having Cena main event all the time is basically still keep him as the top draw, but letting others have a turn with the belt, which is a good idea in theory even though the execution has been questionable. I don't see Cena winning the title again, except maybe short term as a transitional reign - Randy Orton has been depushed due to his issues. - CM Punk's current reign has to end at some point, and I think the lengthy reign is going to be his legacy. He may not hold the title again either, or at least not for a long time. He might move into "full tine special attraction" status like Cena as well. - Kane and Big Show are winding down their careers - Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio have already had multiple reigns, so it's not like they'd be getting "held down", and they're two guys who are going to be pushed hard regardless of whether they have the belt or not.
There will be plenty of room to push new stars even with only one major title.

I'm a little glad about this. There are a number of Smackdown guys I've never seen because we don't get the blue brand in my area anymore. If this ups my chances of seeing them, I say bring it on.

Let the Intercontinental Title be the #2 belt, and have Cesaro replace the U.S. Title with the European Title. They'd be more likely to drop a midcard belt and keep the WHC. Its still a 'bigger title'. And they can still have guys like Orton go after it without it seeing like a step down. It'd be a lot harder to 'Elevate' the IC belt, when they already have a belt that although isn't at big as the WWE title, is still big enough to hold its own roster.

They should retitle the WHC the WWE TV Title. That way, we get a title defense every show.
