I agree with the names on the list, but I certianly disagree with some of the placements.
Wiig for example, has gotten a bit overrated.
While Melissa McCarthy deserves a higher slot

1) Eh, he's alright.
2) Should be #1.
3) I like her, but there's funnier.
5) They've been REALLY hit-or-miss with me lately.
7) Should be higher. He's a comedy legend at this point.
10) She's growing on me, mostly for her Lola Bunny.
13) Yeah, no.
14) Depends on his project, but I generally like him.
15) YES. If you haven't seen Real Husbands of Hollywood, you're missing something good.
16) HAHAHAHA....no.
24) Better at writing than stand-up.
26) Yeah, he's cool.
34) Eh, there are funnier "low-key" comics.
35) Should be WAY higher.
38) Ditto.
44) I'm convinced that most of his projects lately are just actors filming around his real life antics, like Kit Ramsey in Bowfinger.
47) He's serviceable.
48) Should be higher.
The lack of Mario Cantone is a glaring omission.

Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Howard Stern, and Zack Galifanakis are all ranked way too high. Kristen Wiig should be higher, Rainn Wilson, Kevin Nealon and Betty White should be on the list.
Joan Rivers hasn't been funny in decades and belongs nowhere near this list. I'd assume it was a token gesture for her former brilliance but that's odd considering the list is supposed to be funniest people "right now".

The lack of Aubrey Plaza distrubs me. I always enjoy watching her interviews especially cause her eccentricity makes for good viewing. That and she owns the megabitch role.

I never really got ranking people based on how funny they are. I mean, I guess I like some comedians more than others, but usually if I want to watch something comedic, it depends on what mood I'm in. It probably doesn't help that I'm not really a fan of a lot of comedians. Like I think Wiig, Ferrell, and Ansari should be nowhere near this list (probably Gervais as well), but I'm in the minority. Though to be honest, I actually like everyone in the top ten besides Wiig (and Lena Dunham, but I haven't seen any of her stuff or Girls).

Terrible comedian, bad human, all round unlikable entity. Why is he a bad human? He's an obnoxious, bullying egomaniac with no self awareness who continually gets the very basics of the kind of comedy he so desperately wants to emulate wrong on all levels. A very rich, insecure turd who pays vast sums of his own money to put himself in rooms with genuinely great comedians like Louis CK and Chris Rock so he can pretend how the mechanics of the art form work, who subsequently finds himself as a hanger on and Scrappy Doo of the current crop of comedians. He's a bad, bad, bad comedian and whenever he opens his mouth he never seems to do himself any favours.

The money he apparently spends to be around great comedians was all earned through comedy so he must be doing something right?

People consider Howard Stern to be funny? Yeah myself, and a good two thirds of the rest of the people named on that list. And even the top comedians in the world have said that if Howard has so much material that if he was to just do a hour long stand ups instead of 15 hours of radio a week, that he'd be considered an elite stand up.

Pretty good list, though there are many that I don't know. Since Ricky Gervais has been discussed, I'll throw my support to him. I think he's hilarious and Extras is one of the best shows of the last decade. I am a little surprised Bill Murray made the list as I don't think he does a lot of comedic performances any more, though last year I only saw Moonrise Kingdom and didn't see him play FDR in Hyde Park on the Hudson (whatever it's called). He's a legend of comedy, but lately his performances haven't been as comedic. He was great in Zombieland.
I don't think Michael Ian Black is that funny. Lately I haven't found Seth Meyers that funny either.
I was kind of glad to see Seth MacFarlane not listed. Generally he is a smart and funny guy, but I don't find his animated shows nor Ted to be that funny. Parker and Stone had a very good criticism of his comedy on South Park.

I either haven't heard of them, or don't find any of these people funny at all.
Lena Dunham? Wasn't she the girl who equated voting (for a specific candidate) to sex?
