Bill Murray is great, Jerry Seinfeld's a legend, but I don't know what they're doing that makes them among the funniest people now. I was a little confused by this myself, especially with Chris Rock in the Top 10. I love Chris Rock, he's one of my favorite comedians of all time, but what has he done lately to make this list, much less in the Top 10?

Rolling Stone must of really liked Chris Rock's addition to that Kanye West album.

Seth Myers being on this list disturbs me, but then again I was ready to come in and say "Figures they wouldn't rank Louis CK #1." In the end, I'll live with it on that basis.

Louie CK isn't even the funniest redhead.
That title belongs to Bill Burr.

He's an obnoxious, bullying egomaniac with no self awareness who continually gets the very basics of the kind of comedy he so desperately wants to emulate wrong on all levels. A very rich, insecure turd who pays vast sums of his own money to put himself in rooms with genuinely great comedians like Louis CK and Chris Rock so he can pretend how the mechanics of the art form work, who subsequently finds himself as a hanger on and Scrappy Doo of the current crop of comedians. He's a bad, bad, bad comedian and whenever he opens his mouth he never seems to do himself any favours. Any evidence to back up these claims or do we just take your word for it? The money he apparently spends to be around great comedians was all earned through comedy so he must be doing something right? Exactly, when DrBackFlipsHoffman said Ricky was a bad human I thought he might have had some evidence of Ricky beating up puppies or something. But all he had was just an opinion on his comedy, which does not = a bad human. You can say whatever you like about his comedy because that all is subjective, however do not go saying he's a bad human being if you don't have any evidence. And in fact everything I have seen of Ricky indicates he is a good guy, plus he has done plenty of charity work and advocates for animal rights.

If you can have Jerry Seinfeld on the list, then Bill Cosby & Don Rickles are both fair game as well. They do more shows than Jerry.

Wow, bit of a US-Bias on this list. Realized that when I realised I didn't know who the top 4 were.

Tina Fey funnier than Kevin Hart? That's sincerely where I stopped reading.

Tina Fey's not that funny, she's just popular because she has that hot secretary thing going on. Not that I don't appreciate that, but still. I'm not saying she isn't funny at all, but she's not hilarious.

I think the reason why Tina Fey's ranked so high is because she pretty much spear-headed the whole "Attractive Females Can Be Funny" movement that's been dominating for the last few years.
