Penis jokes and lighter cursing are OK in PG.

Because he's PG exempt. Randomly. Why not just drop the bullshit and let guys be themselves?

WWE's "PG" is a joke. They can't just pick and choose where to go beyond that line. They obviously long to produce TV-14 programming, but compromise themselves just enough to get dubbed TV-PG.

First of all, they're not going beyond the line, at all. And Rock's allowed more leeway as far as content because he's a bigger star. It's a business, not a T-ball league where everyone has to be equal. They also want him to basically resemble his same character from his heyday. But I don't think he's ever done anything on any TV show that would be "beyond the line" of TV-PG.

Forget Ring of Honor references, the real thing that rebel CM Punk keeps wanting to do is go out there and cut a promo about his wang, and The Man keeps holding him down. Only the special golden boy company men get to make dick jokes on air, it's how they hold the indie talent down.
Vince McMahon hates CM Punk's penis.

not a T-ball league where everyone has to be equal. You're right. It's not a T-ball league. It's a television show where violent adults attack other violent adults and compete violently against each other using violence. But they say "butt" instead "ass". So it's PG. It's time WWE gave up on this facade.

Ummm...they have in a lot of ways.
The whole PG thing didn't encompass swearing as much as it did with the zany sexual shit and blood. That was the major concern.
Rock is FAR from the only person who swears. He does it more...because that's his gimmick.
I'd get sick and tired if everyone was a Rock ripoff in that sense that they needed to swear to get their point across. In fact, it's actually HELPED people develop character without resorting to swearing.
But whatever...we need more ass ass ass or none at all.

Who cares? I don't give a crap about Superman. Apples to oranges anyways. Batman's in there as well. Both of these movies include mature themes that they otherwise couldn't if they were rated PG. Themes that really do improve the overall product. And to be honest, there are very few differences between wrestling and comic books. Except, well, it's animated violence, not real humans involved.

That's the MPAA's decision.
WWE does not have to measure itself to anyone's expectations.
I'm well aware of the comparisons between the two, but you know what? It's still apples to oranges.

So in Superman, is everyone allowed to swear equally? Is that the important thing?
