Just do 7.
The core five above, Martian Manhunter, and Zatanna.
A magic user alone makes it somewhat different from Avengers.

Well for Atlantis they could make it domed as I'm sure it has been depicted in the past. But yeah I can't think of any way of doing the underwater talking without it coming off pretty terrible... they clearly need to surgically attach gills to the actor

And thus just another reason why I am more interested in the Justice League Dark adaption.
WB just sees absoloutley no money in anything other than their prime cash cows (green lantern didn't help change their minds) , but untill they can actually start getting anything else off the other then Batman and Superman then the Jusitce League movie will never work IMO.

WB should just go with a Superman and Batman film, to see if that works.

To Be fair Superman at this point hasn't exactly been a money making film franchise for a while.

This is why rushing it is a bad idea. I understand why WB wanted to make a Justice League movie to compete with Avengers 2, but even if Man of Steel is successful (and really, it's going to be even though the trailers don't look that good imo) where do you go from there? It's too soon for another Batman and if they're trying to make 2015, they're gonna have to go right into production for Justice League.

Millar's right, but for the wrong reasons. I don't think the plausibility of Aquaman being able to communicate underwater is much of a sore point in a world with a ma who can fly, a man who has so much money he can buy a gadget to do pretty much anything, and a man that can run faster than the speed of light. of course, Millar's a deeply unpleasant individual and he might just be doing more unjustified trolling, which is pretty much all he does these days.
what DOES make it a losing proposition is that it seems rushed and they don't have a sensible gameplan to make the movie work. Marvel made damn sure their comic characters worked in individual movies before going ahead with an Avengers movie.

But I don't know, can't they just make a really fantastic Justice League video game instead of a possibly lackluster Justice League movie?

WB.....just scrap it altogether at this point. That would actually be the smart move, which means it won't happen. How about they work on a JL movie when someone passionate enough for the project works on a script? Instead of rushing everything and forcing it to happen just so they can cash-in on the success of The Avengers and try to compete with the highly anticipated sequel. Yeah yeah, they were planning on a JL movie even before The Avengers, I know. But why are we hearing so much about this NOW? Exactly. Do it when you have everything ready and planned, instead of rushing it without thinking. You're only going to piss your audience off and risk having no audience for future projects. Don't try to compete with The Avengers. You won't win this way.

This doesn't surprise me, frankly I can't understand how this would surprise anyone. Ever since the Justice League movie was announced everybody could see it was nothing more then a half thought-out money grab by Warner Brothers to take advantage of the success of Avengers. Or this! Would get all the CoD fans. That's money in the bank. I would so be first in line to see an Extreme Justice movie. Starring Justin Bieber as Zan of the Wonder Twins.
