Just read WWE's new article on the title, and apparently the plates were sculpted by the team at Orange County Chopper, the shop featured on American Chopper (which WWE.com endlessly misnamed "American Choppers").

I kinda like it. It's a little basic, but it's a nice bit of simplicity after the OTT Spinner.

They're brilliant. They can sell the belt, and sell seperate side plates for each wrestler. Collect them all! Make it like WMAC Masters, collect 10 opponent plates for a shot at the main plate!

Just read WWE's new article on the title, and apparently the plates were sculpted by the team at Orange County Chopper, the shop featured on American Chopper (which WWE.com endlessly misnamed "American Choppers"). Rick from OCC tweeted a pic of the belt in progress months ago, so that part was relatively common knowledge. I'm interested to see the rejected concepts that the article said would be posted on wwe.com soon.

My first impression was that it looked like a CAW belt. I don't hate it anymore than the spinner but at the same time I don't like it anymore than the spinner

I'd like it a bit more if it wasn't for the fact that it's too blocky, I don't know, maybe make the plate a bit more......rounder?

I don't know. I guess when I think of title belts, I think of items with more detail. Like, the best looking title in wrestling is the TNA Heavyweight Title, the real one, not the Jeff Hardy one. Even the old one that was held by Eric Young for awhile looked nice, but the current one looks epic. The Winged Eagle and the Attitude Era belt looked impressive I found. It had this strong, noble animal on the front with the Eagle, with a picture of the world on it, signifying that this person was the best in the world. Or the World Heavyweight Title/Big Gold Belt, which looked majestic and it was an important title to have. Plus, both of them were gold, or at least the majority of it was gold. And gold signifies the best from the Olympics. The best wrestler held this gold belt. The Winged Eagle was my favourite, but that could be a bias, but the WWE Championship/Undisputed Championship that Brock Lesnar held, that was also an epic looking title. I guess that's where this belt falls short. It's just the symbol with the diamonds, which does help to symbolize prestige, and harkens back to the old days of the $75,000 10 pounds of gold. The black and the WWE logo being on it I'm not a fan of. The other belts had the logo at the very top of the belt, with an eagle and the world being the centre piece, and people wrestling on the side, or countries on the side, or whatever. Something epic, but this, it's better then the Spinner title and it's better then the Jeff Hardy title, but still, it's just not the same. I think if you make the red blue it will look alot better That looks the best out of the photoshopped ones I've seen. Still, even with all the great designs getting rid of the black, it still lacks detail that many of the great title belts have.

Now that I've digested it, the new title is a definite improvement over the spinner. I just hate that they had to make the WWE scratch logo so big. That was my least favorite part of the spinner, and it ruins this belt for me too.

You guys think this could work? That's not bad at all. I don't know about the red, but having something reflective back there is really different.

It's not that bad, but it's pretty boring. It looks like they put very little effort into the design. "Let's just put the logo on it mad big"

I read the article on WWE.com where it said that they wanted to not use the globes, eagles, and other stuff that is synonymous with the WWE Championship. They doesn't make sense at all. I understand trying to move on and stuff, but eagles, globes, and gold is what has been involved with the WWE Championship since it was first made.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but with everyone talking about how the lack of plating and exposure of leather makes it look cheap.... remember when the IC belt used to change leather colors? I remember a green version, yellow version, Shawn Michel's had a light blue version and a white version, Golddust made the leather gold, etc. ... I think that would be a neat concept with this belt depending on who holds it....Think of all the John Cena fruity pebbles versions of leather you could have.
For real though, certain guys could really make it pop by changing the leather. Like if they ever put it on Cody Rhodes, he would make it white like he did to the IC belt, Del Rio could have red leather, Danial Brian's maroon, Cesaro could make it royal blue or yellow.
