I mean, while WWE did make him change his name (it's a dumb name, but in a way I think it was a means of protecting him from comparisons between him and his father), That would be fine if they didn't also acknowledge on TV that he was Perfect's son. That made it all the more of a stupid name change because it neither protected nor capitalized on his family background. But back to the point at hand, it seems like he has a lot of people in his corner, so you've got to wonder what exactly is keeping them from pulling the trigger, Maybe this was a case of one promo killing an entire career...

I'm pretty sure that by Wrestlemania 50 Undertaker will be a pile of dust. At least he will be if he continues to wrestle until then. But then, some disrespectful heel will dump the Undertaker dust onto somebody they just beat up. And that person will become the new Undertaker. And then they'll lose the streak. It's what Mark would've wanted. So McGillicutty is the new Undertaker and Kane is the new Ric Flair?

Yeah, it is dumb. I wonder if they acknowledged it because it might have made him look like a more sympathetic guy. But if that's the case why not just call him Hennig? It's a catch 22 no matter how you look at it, which is why I've grown to loathe next generation wrestlers with the exception of a few (the ones who were able to completely escape their father's shadow; Rock, Goldust, Randy Orton, Cody) because most just cannot fill the boots. Granted, I haven't seen a ton of what Joe can do, but I honestly don't think he stands out very much, especially with how stacked the roster is right now.

I'd actually be intrigued by Henning beating the Undertaker to end his streak, just for the outrage that would definitely include my own. It would be epic, unheard of levels topping anything I can think of.

I'll sum up his comments in a numerical form. 4/10. After that comment, more like 4/20, am I right folks!

Can you really critique someone for not "standing out all that much" when you haven't seen what he can do? That's like saying you can't see what people see in Tyson Kidd when you'd basically have to follow him on the internet shows to even know he still wrestles.

Does it count if I don't see what people see in Tyson Kidd even having seen plenty of his work? It's not that I dislike him or anything, he's pretty talented as a midcard filler guy and he's a solid speaker provided he's not on commentary, but I really don't get the extent of the love he gets other than the fact that he's small, he's flippy, and he has ties to the Harts. There isn't really much to distinguish him outside of those traits, and those traits seem to kind of ensure just about anyone's beloved. Except Teddy Hart anyway. Again though, nothing against the guy, I just find the extent of the praise he gets kind of weird. Also weird to me, kind of related, is people's tendency to write off anyone who's either a small guy or a giant one as completely awful on the mic on sight. For some reason you seem to have to be middle-sized for people to be willing to even give you a chance when it comes to the mic. Not saying there aren't some terrible small or large guys on the mic - Evan Bourne - but it seems like an odd stereotype.

McGillicutty really just needs to go by Joe Henning and be a reincarnation of his father's gimmick. The dude has talent, I really like his work in the ring. I wish I had more to add but I just think its that simple. He should acknowledge his dad's gimmick but just be "Average" Joe Hennig.

Who ever said that the Goldberg kick did more damage and Ryback should kick him again, I loved that comment.

What I meant to say was; I haven't seen every single match he's ever had. And what I have seen is less than impressive. If he can't get over with the stuff he does on TV, then I doubt having free range is going to help him out. What I think is silly is declaring someone's opinion void because they don't track down some match from someone who had an amazing match in the indies or something. I saw a couple of matches he had near where I live, and no he wasn't impressive then and he isn't impressive now. Something about consistency...and Joe doesn't have it.

Go home, Bret, you're drunk. McGillicutty, seriously? I've gotta say, even long before the Genesis promo I've never liked the guy. The Genesis of McGuillicutty shall begin at Wrestlemania 30!

Jim Ross is also very high on Joe Hennig. Why isn't he being called a drunken idiot? Oh wait, JR is the beloved Voice of the ATTITUDE Era and Bret is just a whiny self-mark who deserves his dumping, right?

But if it makes you feel better, I'll lead the parade of cheering on Vince next time he humiliates JR on tv.

Joe Henning's job as of late was preparing the Rock and Brock Lesnar for their returns, so maybe it's not too far fetched... I still say they should make him represent Brock and have him wrestle for him since Brock won't be all year. His favorite WrestleMania moment: “When Rowdy Piper, Randy Savage, Razor Ramon and Lex Lugar carried me around the ring … “ I'm surprised no one has accused Bret of being a mark for himself yet with this comment. At least he didn't say his favorite Survivor Series moment is when he shook hands with Santa Claus.

WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart took part in a Facebook Q&A today. Here are some highlights. Who should end The Undertaker’s streak: “Joe Henning (Michael McGillicutty)” Fitting match for the Undertaker to go out on: “Lets just say at WM 50 (I’m sure he meant 30) – Undertaker loses streak to Joe Henning … and he is pinned with the PerfectPlex at the 59 minute mark.” ...Whatchua talking bout' Bret?
