AOW 256: Tommy End Added on June 25th 2015 Dutch pro wrestling veteran Tommy End is making nice waves on the independent scene. Colt and Tommy sit down in England together at the conclusion of Colt's match in a conversation that goes in a lot of fun directions. soundcloud.com/coltcabana/aow-256-tommy-end

Not really a fan of this episode. I had no idea who the guest was and he hasn't won me over like some other guests I wasn't aware of before the AOW (PAC, Party Marty, Kenny Omega...). Meh.

Kyle was a good dude, but no real earth shattering stories to tell, or anything that really kept me glued. Nice return to the show for Brendon Burns, though.

I had a slight brain fart and thought Colt was talking to Adam Cole for the first 10 minutes or so

Good to hear from Roddy O'Edrichards

Putting aside all the snarkiness for a second, I though O'Reilly came off really well. It's good that he identifies that he needs to work on his character, and I think the team with Bobby Fish will be really great for him in the long term.

Almost finished with the interview, and I gotta say, I really enjoyed this week's episode. Kyle came across as just a normal dude sharing some stories about life in wrestling.
I've been a fan of his for a while now, so I'm definitely looking forward to what he does in the future. If he can work on his mic skills (and with him acknowledging that he needs work, I think he could become decent-to-good with some work), the guy could break out of the mold of "Roddy O'Edrichards" and become his own man.
Oh, and go reDRagon. I just wish they'd explain yhe name.

Oh, and go reDRagon. I just wish they'd explain yhe name. well, Silence of the Lambs doesn't really work as a team name, and Hannibal and Hannibal Rising both sucked. they could have gone with Manhunter, but a name like that might make them seem a bit too...well, you know {Spoiler}{Spoiler} Not that there's anything wrong with that

AOW 144: The Million Dollar Man Posted on April 24, 2013 by Administrator
Ted Dibiase is a WWE Hall of Famer. He's one of the most under appreciated villains in the history of wrestling. Colt and Ted have crossed paths before in WWE lockerooms and events, today they sit down and talk about some pro wrestling history.

Seems that these episodes with random wrestlers that aren't close with Colt and/or friends with him, usually end up somewhat lackluster. Then again this is #144, it's hard to have that many friends.
I'd like to see some repeats, possibly with people that were maybe within first 70 episodes. Kinda an update and to see what they've been up since, and maybe cover some things missed in original episode.

Some repeats I'd love to see: Daniel Bryan (post Yes stuff), Johnny Curtis (post Fandango shift), and a bunch of other people that got signed since their first eps. It'd be cool to see Sandow on one eventually too but I doubt that'll happen

Yeah, definitely Daniel Bryan as a repeat, especially since he talked about being jobbed out as Money in the Bank holder and how much he hated shaving. And Colt was really putting over Johnny Curtis and his upcoming debut, which flopped, but eventually, Johnny's hard work would pay off in the end.
Daivari, Cliff Compton and CM Punk are the only real repeats we've seen come on, and there were some premium podcast stuff where guys came back. One thing about the premiums was I was hoping for more of what we got in the first premium podcasts, where wrestlers were randomly given topics. Sara Del Rey talked about food, Curt Hawkins talked about action figures, and on vol. 2, we got Mike Quackenbush talk about a list of gimmicks from WWE.com which was great, but I would have liked more premium podcasts like ones from the first volume.

Loved that Devitt one, the first one I have listened to in months (need to start listening again and catch up on a few I missed. recommendations?). For everything he has done in Japan and how talented he is he comes over as such a genuine, friendly and down to earth guy. I'm going to need to see a match of his live/get a meet and greet next time he is over here in the UK, starting a new job makes that kind of hard though in the first month or two. Would be my first independent show I ever go to, I hope I do now eventually once work calms down. He seems like a true compliment to the sport/art/whatever you want to call it and I am a proud fan of the guy. To come from the other side of the world, become one of the major guys in one of the top companies in that country, and still have a level head is amazing to me. I am happy he takes the time to go home regularly as well.
How he got the name, the dojo training, traveling, Mexico! were all great stories

Come to the show at York Hall in London on June 15th, he's in the main event wrestling Jushin Liger. Revolution Pro Wrestling are the promoters.

Yeah I had a look at that earlier and it looked great, but I realized that I am away on a summer holiday on the same week. I will be saving up for sure when I get back though for the next time he is over (I am in West Yorkshire so I will be booking a train ticket well in advance). Hopefully he will be at RPW/York Hall again as it would be ideal for me just to get a night in the closest Ibis. Will be great to go to more live shows.
