Always interesting to hear how out of touch Jim Cornette really is. Why do wrestling companies keep hiring him? about 3 years ago when he was Anti-TNA and WWE and shooting all over Youtube, everyone thought he had the greatest mind in wrestling next to Heyman. Kind of like Dave Lagana and his whole "I Want Wrestling" thing that was just "I Want A Job" as he got hired in TNA and has helped further drive the company's product into shit.

Meltzer could have told a million stories and funny interactions hes had with wrestlers over the years but nope nothing theres a reason hes reporting on the news rather than making it i guess

Also, Colt spent a large portion of the podcast confused as shit.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed by the Meltzer podcast. The guy's seen a lot of shit I imagine and didn't mention any of it. My favorite were the parts where Colt asked him something like, "were there any wrestlers that you thought were _________?" and he'd respond with "yes" then not elaborate. Seems like a pretty cool dude, though. Less sleazy than I'd imagine a dirt sheet writer would be.

Lagana probably doesn't have much say in things. He has to answer to Bruce Prichard, Eric Bischoff, and Hulk Hogan.

AOW 152: Rollerball Rocco Posted on June 19, 2013 by Administrator
British wrestling legend, Mark Rollerball Rocco is this weeks guest. A true pioneer and trendsetter, Mark helped change a wrestling style in both England and Japan as Black Tiger. Listen as Mark passes down stories to Colt from York Hall in England.

I will probably skip this one as the British ones don't excite me than much. Good as I need to catch up on some

Rocco spends a lot of time taking credit for stuff (innovating the fast paced wrestling style, British wrestling inventing TV wrestling, top US stars crediting him for their style etc) but going back and watching his stuff, Rocco was ahead of his time.
Particularly fascinating to hear about the King's Hall in Belle Vue (Manchester), I go to Belle Vue quite often - it's just a run down dog racing/Speedway track now, they tore the King's Hall down decades ago, and I wish it was still there today just for history's sake.
The stuff about Liger was interesting too.

Yeah, I stopped listening cuz it was kind of annoying to hear him talk about how he invented everything. I haven't seen his stuff and I'm he's probably telling the truth, but it came off a little arrogat. I'll probably finish it up sometime this week.

I would have rather listened to Dave twice than to hear half of this. This is no fault of Colt's - and hey people, it is free...but Jesus Candied-Apple Christ was that coma-inducing!
Oh well, it makes you appreciate the ones like Steen's that much more.

so this ones a pass? havent listened yet debated if i will even bother If you're a fan of British wrestling, this would be a decent listen. Otherwise, pass on it. It's nothing too terribly interesting, plus Mark seems to have a propensity to move the microphone away from him rendering him nearly unheard for a good chunk of the interview.
