Steve Irwin's widow and daughter are pretty much just following in his footsteps. They worked with him before his demise anyway, even when his daughter was just a little kid. I'd say they're keeping his memory and legacy alive, not exploiting it. He left his wife, who stuck by him the entire time he was suffering from cancer, in order to bone Sheryl Crow. And he's a real douchebag and miserable person. His being thought of as a scumbag predates his being caught doping. Cycling is a ridiculously dirty sport anyway. In addition to all of this, he also used his massive fortune and (then) public goodwill to crush anyone who spoke out against him. He's practically the perfect definition of a scumbag |

James Cameron belongs on this list just because he tried to kill Ed Harris in the name of getting a "proper shot" in a movie that ended up being largely forgettable anyway. oh but he made Titanic and Avatar so he gets put on some kind of genius pedestal. seriously, f*** that guy. Wait...he TRIED to kill him? I don't think there was an attempt there, just an awful accident. I don't like Cameron, but I'm not going to let an accident (where several things that were in place for safety that went wrong) ride my belief that a guy is a scumbag. And he didn't put his movies any more on a pedestal than George Lucas did with Star Wars. Oh wait...neither of them did that, their audiences did by throwing their money away. Biggest scumbag to me is Sean Penn. The dude is notorious with his attitude, anger and complete disregard for anyone who doesn't share his interests. He's a pretty good actor and has even dabbled as a director with pretty decent results. But his higher than Thou attitude, his assaults on people and even his cruel reputation towards people he sees as lower than him. |

Okay... I admit I don't follow Sports much, but how is Lance Armstrong a scumbag just for using the juice (Or whatever it is cyclists use.) It's not the juicing, or in the cyclist case: doping, that makes him a scumbag. It's the flat out lying about said doping, to the point where he would file litigation against anybody and everybody who would take that public, that people despise him for. Also add onto that, using his chemically enhanced persona to pretty much screw over the government and the USPS for over 8 figures, more millions for his organization, Livestrong even after he had been exposed as the liar and the fraud that he was, and also there's that little matter of infidelity against Sheryl Crow. So bilking nearly a billion out of everybody, cheating on multiple fronts to stay ahead, and the frivolous lawsuits of it all. That's scumbag material. And Livestrong even washed their hands clean of him because they want nothing to do with a liar. Oh yeah. Cycling's governing body recently said Lance actually DID fail FOUR tests in 1999 alone. They didn't suspend him because he gave what they considered a solid alibi. He played THEM too. |

The lead singer of lostprophets who last year was arrested for trying to set up a sexual encounter with a 1 year old and they found a bunch of kiddie porn on his comp.
I was a big fan of the band and have a setlist autographed by them on my wall from Warped Tour last year before all this went down. If that's what he was caught doing, I can only imagine what he had previously gotten away with.

Okay let me clarify the problem.
It's not that CR hates MLP Season 3 that turned me off to him.
It's the fact that he constantly picks fights with anyone online who disagrees with him. I don't know how things work at TGWTG, but that seems like highly unprofessional behavior to me.

well I learned that we all have very contrasting opinions of what constitutes a person as a scum bag. Yeah, I'd classify about 2/3rds of the people mentioned in this thread as jerkasses rather than scumbags. |
