I still have a hard time seeing King's fans say words like "steal" when that's what they did to Kansas City. Nobody should have their team taken away, but tone down the rhetoric. You stole the Kings yourselves. Don't cry foul now when it happens to you. Be upset, sure. Just remember your beloved Kings where somebody elses once upon a time.

It still bears repeating... This little quote is irrelevant because this situation isn't about Seattle or their fan base. The situation at hand is entirely about protecting a city and fan base that has done everything the NBA has asked of it to keep their team. There is no logical reason why Sacramento should lose it's only professional sports team, the political support is there, the fan support is definitely there, and the corporate support is there too. Arco Arena will be packed every night next year under the ownership group led by Vivek Ranadive. Kings fans have never quit supporting the team just some can't will themselves to give the Maloofs any more of their hard earned money. I firmly believe next year the old barn will be rocking every night just like the last game of the season this year. I'm really involved with the grassroots movements to save the Kings and I've been to more city council meetings the last six months than most people ever go to in their entire lives. This is much bigger than basketball to Sacramento and we're gonna win this fight.

Had K.C. embraced the NBA like Sacramento did this argument would be valid, but it's not. The original ownership group of the Sacramento Kings didn't rip away a team from a market that did all they could to save team. K.C. then and Sacramento now is like comparing apples and oranges. Watch the first ten minutes of this video and you'll see this is an entirely different situation. Small Market Big Heart was a documentary made during the Anaheim debacle two years ago and it will show you just how much the Kings mean to Sacramento. We thought this nightmare was over when we had an arena deal in place with the Maloofs, but little did we know the worst had yet to come.

I don't care if the Kings stay in Sacramento, if they relocate to Seattle or if they move to Paris. I have no horse in the race one way or another. The only point I'm trying to convey is that if these Kings fans are as dedicated as they seem with their rallies and protests, then they should have no problem selling the arena out now that the team is staying.
But, if we're into the throes of the regular season and attendance is hovering around 79 percent, where it was this past season, then what did these rallies prove? What did these protests prove? Yes, there are fans who care, but if they can't fill the arena past 80 percent capacity, will it really make a difference?

80% capacity is pretty damn good when you have an ownership group that doesn't even provide general maintenance on the facility(broken toilets and seats) and continues to put a substandard product on the floor year after year. It's not like Sacramento is Atlanta when it comes to attendance.

Mark Jackson saying idiotic things like "God has his hands on this team" makes me want to see the Warriors get annihilated.

It sucks for both Seattle and Sacramento and there is no way for both those fan bases to win.

It sucks for both Seattle and Sacramento and there is no way for both those fan bases to win. There are plenty of teams that could be relocated to Seattle while keeping the Kings in Sacramento. Milwaukee seems like the likeliest candidate with an aging arena, an apathetic fan base and an owner who has contemplated selling the franchise in the past.

I can't fault Milwaukee, if I had to watch Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis brick ten 3s every night I'd be pretty apathetic too.

Jason Kidd has seven consecutive games with zero points and at least two rebounds, the longest such streak in NBA history (playoffs or regular season).
Charles Jones used to hold the dubious record for games with zero points and two-plus rebounds, doing it six straight times as a backup big man for the Bullets in 1992.

Jeez, all I was saying about Sacramento is how they can do something to improve the W-L record and makeup distance on the Lakers/Clippers/Warriors.

Jeez, all I was saying about Sacramento is how they can do something to improve the W-L record and makeup distance on the Lakers/Clippers/Warriors. well with the Warriors it took a team sale, and the new owner cleaning house. 2 years ago, the Warriors were a mess as they were still trying to recreate that spark with Nellie's small ball. It wasn't that long ago the Warriors started Anthony Morrow, Anthony Tolliver, and Corey Maggette in the front court. Hell 2 years ago their starting lineup was Curry-Ellis-Dorrell Wright-David Lee-Andris Biedris with Vlad Radmonovic and Lou Amundson is their top 2 bench players. Clippers getting Paul was huge, but honestly, the last decade they've been more underachieving than just straight up sucking that they've done most of Donald Sterling's tenure of owner. Ever since Elgin Baylor was fired as GM, they've been better at building. The Kings are just one of those teams that got lucky with a superstar/good chemistry that pretty much failed at the draft during their contending years so when they lost said stars they were screwed. Yes the Maloofs have been a huge problem, but drafting the Quincy Douby's of the world hurt the Kings as well. Same thing has happened to the Timberwolves, Bucks, Cavaliers, Nets, Raptors, and Hornets among others.

I wonder if Dwyane Wade knows that his clothes shrunk in the dryer.

I'm so happy that the Heat have been able to shake off the rust they had in Game 1. They are just dominating the Bulls tonight.
