And yet, Khali and Hornswoggle are still employed despite neither of them doing ANYTHING since 2008 Well, neither of them are on NXT.

I'm hoping in the post-Vince McMahon era, WWE becomes significantly less carny under Steph/HHH and we won't see anymore giant freaks or midgets.

Hornswoggle on his own isn't a problem. But you have to admit that, while entirely no fault of his own, Hornswoggle DOES unfortunately take a roster spot from the wrestlers, especially on the face side of things. A huge problem is that "non-wrestler" Hornswoggle is basically treated as Khali's de facto tag team partner and is sometimes booked in matches as if he were a wrestler. Maybe Bateman or Percy could've been the guy tagging with Khali instead. You're right. Children love Khali and Hornswoggle, but they serve no purpose with EACH OTHER. Since Hornswoggle and Khali individually are probably going to get TV time no matter what, they would be better served if they were paired up with other wrestlers to help put them over and endear them to the WWE universe.

Both Hornswoggle and Khali would be better served if they were paired up with other wrestlers to help endear them to the WWE universe. They don't 'take roster spots' man. If they want to use a guy, they have 3-4 shows to use him on every week. Bateman and Percy weren't going to be used even if Hornswoggle and Khali didn't exist. They just flat out didn't want to use them.

He's still taking a place and paycheck that could go to literally anyone else It's wierd. There's about 4 levels of glass ceiling going on in WWE right now, and yet at every tier there are people doing nothing. Curt Hawkins, Evan Bourne and Christian are awaiting return from injury but creative has nothing Khali and Hornswoggle are going absolutely nowhere JTG has an employment counter I can't remember the last time any team apart from HN or PTP was used for anything but job fodder They actually forgot Armando Estrada was employed for 18 months Dean Ambrose didn't even wrestle between the end of FCW and the Shield debut Bo Dallas's push and feud with Barrett led to... a match 4 months later on NXT.... I have no idea what Orton and Big Show have done since their feud sort of fizzled out So this is the best time ever to ask, who is writing this crap?

Bateman and Watson showed a lot of personality. I'm surprised neither got a chance on the main roster. I'm not really surprised at any of the other cuts, though I thought Briley might be saved by being Dolph's brother.

JTG has an employment counter Which hit the six year mark at 8 PM on Monday. Dude must have a real good hiding place. I knew Cleaning was going to happen when they announced they were going ahead with dev hirings. Usually when an influx of dev talent happens, Cleaning follows. Only real losses were Bateman, Percy and Pierce.

Why do these threads always turn into "why is (x) still employed"? Isn't that besides the point?

Why do these threads always turn into "why is (x) still employed"? Isn't that besides the point? Because some of these released guys have talent and potential that was ultimately wasted. And some of their fans would rather see Y on TV than X, especially the Raw SuperShow era where Midcard spots are limited due to main-eventer oversaturation.

Sad to see people losing their jobs, but since was the dreaded period we were all waiting for to happen, I can only think of this song. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Sorry, I couldn't get the Rocko's Modern Life video with the song so I only have the song instead.

Well, if they wasted the talent, it's their loss in the long run. I'd argue that it's worse to have them hanging around doing nothing for years than to have them prove themselves in another company.
