If they wanted to make a F**K TMZ video....then why didn't they just make a F**K TMZ video ? It's not like that haven't done that before , and that way they wouldn't add 10 unnecessary minutes to a review video.(and personally I am so-so about the whole Skit thing) It's about using the most watched program to your discretion to get your views across. To them, it wouldn't have been appropriate enough to make a non-NC video that slams TMZ that will likely only be watched by a portion of the people who watch NC, no they have to tack it on AS PART of one of the NC videos. They don't want to just give TMZ the middle finger, they want the biggest audience possible when the bird is flipped. That in itself, is pathetic.

I understand wanting to vent your frustrations but it should not be done at the expense of your fans. Make a separate video or limit the jokes to one rather than dragging it out and making viewers roll their eyes rather than laugh. As for the sketches, I'd have no issue with them if they were actually enjoyable. Review itself was pretty poor as well.

After his terrible "pop culture" jokes about famous people(I don't remember who, some chick who has a reality TV show), I think he could've stuck his looooooooong TMZ bashing up his ass, but the review was pretty good, I hate that movie.

still can't believe that schmaltzy ending was Kubrick's idea. A.I.'s an odd movie. there's clearly some great ideas in there, and I think if you handed this movie to another director who wasn't Kubrick's friend you would've gotten something a lot better (David Fincher, for instance). I still maintain that Haley Joel Osment was acting for a completely different movie, because his performance is genuinely unnerving, and one of the movie's bright spots, though I'm not sure that was Spielberg's intent. and I find it really hard to have anything against David's "brother" because how the hell would you feel if you almost died and your parents tried to replace you with a windup toy?
as for the review, when Critic was talking about the movie I liked it, but the TMZ stuff was a bit much. those people are scum and should be mocked, but he dragged it out too much.

I'm a casual fan of Nostalgia Critic at best and I had zero problems with the tmz skits especially since they backed it up by saying they did it for themselves. I applaud the fact that they had a message they wanted to get across even if it was at the expense of alienating their audience. What they did took balls and makes me respect the hell out of them.
This is another case of people being entitled. It is not the creative artist's job to produce what you want to see, it is their job to express themselves. If you take issue with the way it is presented that's your prerogative.

If you take issue with the way it is presented that's your prerogative. While that's true, when you make money off of your work and rely on a fanbase, maybe some diplomacy would be useful? It's not so much what was said but how it was said. If Rob had explained it as 'we know maybe not everyone enjoyed it, but after recent events we felt we needed to say this'. That would be fine, it wasn't for us, but it's cool, but literally telling your audience 'tough shit' and making it about cleansing your soul no matter what us plebs think is a bad, alienating way to talk to your customers.

Also again their big message was that TMZ is terrible and run by terrible people which is hardly groundbreaking news or something that really needed to be said.
