I think back to the Royal Rumble 2011 when John Cena and Hornswoggle were posing in the ring after cleaning house. That was unbearable.
Hornswoggle also has no business being in my favorite match of the year.

Nothing has ever actually made me quit watching altogether but I remember feeling pretty annoyed when Triple H took the World Heavyweight Championship from Orton @ Unforgiven 2004. I just remember feeling hopeless and that nothing was ever going to change. I was just so bored with the product.

I pick up and put down WWE quite frequently because with such a long show and so many hours of television I find it hard to watch just for the one or two parts of it that I enjoy. I watched Raw and Smackdown last week and loved pretty much all of it but Raw this week did absolutely nothing for me bar Bryan/Antonio so I found it a chore to watch. I hope Smackdown is better but I don't know, it might end up that I'm done with it again for another few months.

I stopped watching all together twice.
First time was for 16 months at some point in 2002 through the Reign of Terror. Came back for Benoit and WM. Didn't leave again until I became completely sick of John Cena in 2007 and didn't come back for a month. That wasn't as bad. Turned out I just needed a breather.
I came really close after Mania this year. When Punk left I didn't really have anyone I put a significant amount of effort in to rooting for left and I was DVRing Raws and getting through them in 20 minutes. After Punk came back and the show quality took a significant leap I got back in to it hardcore and I've watched most everything on both main shows since then.

I think I remember taking a month break after the Cena vs Cole match because Cole had already sorta turned face so it just felt kind of mean and...let's go with "would make me ashamed if somebody walked in on me watching it."

I've only stopped watching for a long period twice - around late 1994-early 1995, when it just wasn't very good, and in the early '00s/post-Attitude I stopped watching (except for the Wrestlemanias) when it just got so sleazy that I honestly felt kind of insulted that this was supposed to appeal to me as a fan (Al Wilson, Katie Vick, etc.)
I've gone through several long stretches where I don't regularly watch WWE, but still keep up with what's going on, and it's always when it either becomes too bland or turns into the McMahon Family Variety Hour. Right now, I'm DVR-ing Raw (I've haven't watched SmackDown since the '90s) and skipping through everything that doesn't involve Punk or Bryan.

DX-Hornswoggle stuff and I about quit another time but then CM Punk had a few things to lay off his chest and got me interested again. I had a break during the Reign of Terror and another one in 2010 due to having classes during RAW and Smackdown and was just out of the loop.

WWE name change/brand split/Triple H made me stop watching from 02ish to 08ish. The Guest Host era and the Lockout angle were the two things that came closest to driving me away again.

Oh Super Cena in 2005? (I think) brought me to my limit.

In 20 years I only took small breaks in 1997 and 1998. I don't remember them being long but I also only seem to remember watching bits and pieces here and there. Probably caught a show or two once a month but wasn't as religiously into it like I've prior to 97 and now. I'm so used to watching it now and don't have anything else worth watching that I don't see much point in giving up. I do think they have become very soft though since 2009, and sometimes I feel like I'm forcing myself to watch. I think it was alot more entertaining before PG.

I've never stopped but if Dolph had lost his MITB cash-in then I might have quit for a little while out of pure fanboy anger. (Obviously his concussion ruined his reign and it was pretty much a waste of time in the end anyway but still.)

I remember I stopped watching for like a month or so in 2007, can really remember why but I did.
Also I didn't have cable in the summer of 2009, so I missed a lot of the guest host stuff. I'm really glad I did, because I went back and youtubed alot of it and man...that shit was terrible. Like, horrible, there may have been some good matches in there but overall that was just the worst Raw has ever been in it's 20 year history. I don't know how anyone could sit there and stomach that crap.

I quit for a while during Punks Reign of Boring in the Fall/Winter
"I AM THE BEST IN THE WORLD" for 15 minutes does not make for a good promo, it does however make it easy to switch over to Monday Night Football

Around 1993. Something about The Undertaker joining the All-Americans just really put me off. I mean, here's a guy who is basically The Tall Man from "Phantasm" and when he opened his coat to reveal that flag. Just...what?
