Airing The Undertaker getting attacked by the "Terrorists" the same day as the 7/7 London bombings. I don't buy the excuse that WWE couldn't prevent it as the show had already been taped and that whoever aired it is to blame. I'm not trying to discredit your opinion at all but in my experience in TV/Radio it's incredibly hard to prevent the airing of a taped show since WWE basically has to send copies of it out to the networks and must do so days in advance. I'm not saying that makes the airing right, in fact it was incredibly insensitive, but I don't think WWE is entirely to blame.

Closest I've legit come to quitting were 2002 after Katie Vick and in 2007 after the Benoit stuff.
Last year around August I pretty much stopped watching, only a few minutes of Raw if I heard about something good happening. That lasted until November or so.

Don't think I've ever outright quit watching. There have been times when my interest in wrestling has waned and it was probably at it's lowest point ever after Wrestlemania this year but the quality has improved quite a bit in the past month or so. For better or for worse, wrestling is one of my main interests. I'm probably always going to keep tabs on the buisness.

Back in either very late 2004 or early 2005 JBL said something pretty awful about Eddie, and I basically gave up.
Then after Eddie died, Orton with his "Eddie's burning in hell!" convinced the remote control that I shouldn't tune in every so often.

If they had a taped show featuring Benoit that was due to air after that whole incident happened do you think WWE would let that show be aired?

Nothing has made me nearly quit watching that I can recall (though I was weary when the Attitude Era first started), but do remember feeling extremely uncomfortable and dirty when the Katie Vick segment aired.

The Benoit murders/suicide came the closest to making me quit.
Hell, it took a couple of years for me to really enjoy WWE again, which happened during the summer of Punk in 2011.

I’ve never stopped watching completely but some things that turned me off and made me watch less of the shows than I was previously include Great Khali as world champion on Smackdown, the era where people like Heidenreich, Snitsky and Mark Henry (when he sucked) were getting big pushes, the Raw guest host era, John Cena/Big Show feuding for the 1000th time and CM Punk’s reign of perpetual terror and boredom last year, especially after Raw 1000 when it became clear he wasn’t dropping the title until he faced Rock, making the next six months worth of title matches pointless.

I've stopped watching a few times. Most recent one was after Raw 1000; I had already been skipping most weeks and Punk turning heel cemented it since I really just find him unwatchable as a heel. I didn't start watching again until the Raw after Mania, other than having watched Royal Rumble and a random Cesaro / Ryback match I caught while channel-surfing once.

I've only taken two breaks: first one was from Unforgiven 2006 to WrestleMania 23 and that was brought on because so many of my favorites were either retiring (Trish, Lita), getting fired (Angle), or screwing up (RVD). Plus I was very disappointed with how the ECW revival was handled.
Second break was shorter and it only lasted from Summerslam 2011 to Survivor Series. But the whole aftermath of Punk's initial reign just pissed me off so bad.
Came close during the guest host saga. Late 2009 RAW was a CHORE to watch.

The Reign of Terror. Wrestlemania 19 was the very last straw for about a year.
Also, when Ken Anderson won the TNA World Title. That was another year.
Currently, I'm really only keeping up with wrestling through internet forums, and it's been that way since the last CHIKARA show.

Cena winning the title back from Edge in late 2006 almost completely killed my interest in wrestling. I haven't really watched a full show since.
2009 came extremely close to making me give up following WWE at all.

TBH, it's only been about availability. There's never been a storyline so bad that I was tempted to quit. There have been periods where I would miss months of wrestling or only catch the odd show here or there but it was only because of work or school commitments.

The last Rock resurfacing. Same promos from the first time I stopped watching in 2001 along with unending Rock-service during WM season.
I honestly had to bow out for a spell there.
Actually, most times when they go into full WM gear, I seriously consider taking a break.

I'd stopped watching... crap, I don't remember when it happened. It was partly accidental because I moved into a new place without cable. I'd try to find ways to watch but then eventually just stopped. I know I wasn't watching during the Cena vs Miz WM era and I really had very little desire to, whether I could or not. Even before that I'd stopped caring, the guest host stuff had just turned me off.
Started watching again a few months ago and its weird how damn different it is. You wouldn't notice unless you stopped watching and came back, but the transformation to pimping social media and whatnot CONSTANTLY is still weird to me.

I'll NEVER stop watching wrestling. The wwe is part of my Life LoL. If wwe aired the last episode of raw on Monday. I really think I'd be depressed. Wwe has never and could never do anything to make me say "screw this I'm done" From a pure fangirl standpoint I almost gave up when Dolph cashed in on Del Rio

I started watching around 1985. My fandom started dwindling around 2008 or so, then the Guest Host garbage was the final nail in the coffin. I haven't watched on a regular basis since 2009.
