I think I remember taking a month break after the Cena vs Cole match because Cole had already sorta turned face so it just felt kind of mean and...let's go with "would make me ashamed if somebody walked in on me watching it." seconded. that match was disturbing.

2004 ish, I can't quite pinpoint it. It wasn't a decision I made, rather there wasn't enough going on to keep me tuning in.
One week I'd forget to watch the tape of the show. The next week I'd forget to tape the show and the week after I'd forget what I'd forgotton to do. Eventually it just phased out.
Came back in 2005 and stuck with it ever since.

I almost quit watching this year after the Ryback heel turn.
I did quit watching for a few months last fall because I was burned out. Came back the night after Survivor Series, when The Shield stuff was just starting.
In fall '04 I quit watching regularly because I was getting into NFL, NBA, MLB, etc and wrestling just wasn't entertaining me anymore. Every now and then I'd pop back in and check out what was going on (had an AIM buddy who'd fill me in), but I didn't become a regular watcher/fan again until summer '11.

Stopped watching in mid-01 during the middle of the Invasion because I was bored with wrestling at that point. Didn't come back until the end of '03. Second time was for the same reason, around mid-late '07, and I think I started watching again around early '09.

I've never legitimately stopped watching, but I did walk out of my fair share of RAW shows around the time Punk decided to have his own little Reign of Terror, starting every RAW with 15-20 minute promos.
Honestly can't say the last time I watched Smackdown, though.

I took some time off when December to Remember happened. You screw RVD out of the ECW championship, you have him jump through hoops to get a shot and you make it a multiman match... to have Lashly win it. I'd be fine if RVD lost to Lashly at some point but honestly that was not the time to do it.

I stopped watching in mid 2012 because of the whole Big Show/Cena feud, Punk's reign of terror, and the start of three hour Raws. I only just a few weeks ago started following WWE again.

This thread comes up now and then, and I've quit watching wrestling numerous times over my lifetime since I began watching as a 5 year old.
That said, the most recent one was New Years Revolution 2005: Trips loses the belt to Benoit/Edge, immediately wins it back so he can be a 10 time champ, and I just gave up. Really haven't come back since outside of an occasional trip to a friend's house if they're buying a PPV.

Honestly, I've never stopped watching WWE since I first became a fan in 2000. Last year I was pretty fed up with it though. The uninspiring Punk heel turn, Cena/Big Show, John Laurinaitis and AJ, the never ending Del Rio/Sheamus feud....it was just bad man. Same earlier this year. WM29 really bothered me.
WWE made it up for it the next night though and I've been enjoying RAW for the most part since then.

In all the 15 years I've been watching the closest I've come to stopping was actually this year around Extreme Rules. Don't get me wrong the shows weren't terrible, they were just 'same old same old' and I just got burnt out. Thankfully I stuck with it because ever since Payback I've been loving WWE again.

I don't think I've ever really stopped watching out of disgust for anything. I stopped watching at times because I just lose interest. Said times just happened to be during eras with the worst quality. For example, I don't think I watched a single Raw after Summerslam 2009 until Bret Hart came back.

Eddiesploitation in early 2006. Completely disrespectful and reeked of creative desperation.
From what I've seen of the period I missed ('06 to January '11), they seemed to push a lot of people who went absolutely nowhere. If you weren't an Attitude mainstay or a 2002 FCW alumnus, you may as well not have bothered.

There were a few times I nearly quit.
* The "Eddie is in Hell" remark * Randy Orton beating Christian at the Smackdown after Christian won the world title in a ladder match * The Chris Benoit tragedy and all the stuff that was happening around it (like Great Khali winning the world title)

Remember that time the Rock came around specifically to act as someone to move the title between Punk and Cena? Then.

I've been extremely casual with WWE since like 2006. I'll watch a major PPV every now and then and a recap show if it's on but that's literally it.
I was a big fan from 03-06 and would watch Smackdown every week religiously. I remember around the time King Booker made a stable with William Regal and Fit Finlay and Great Khali was running rampant was the time I left watching full time. It's a shame also because early 06 Smackdown was really awesome. You had MNM tearing it up, Taker and Angle had their great match/feud, Orton and Rey were doing well and you had a great undercard also.

Airing The Undertaker getting attacked by the "Terrorists" the same day as the 7/7 London bombings. I don't buy the excuse that WWE couldn't prevent it as the show had already been taped and that whoever aired it is to blame.

Never. Nothing will ever make me mad enough to do it; I will watch no matter what, and that's just something I live with.
I encourage WWE to prove me wrong.
