They could always talk about Tebow and Manziel And Bryce Harper. Lots more Bryce Harper. Where the hell was this Cards offense last week?

Stephen Fife is pitching for the Dodgers today. But Darwin Barney isn't in the Cub's line-up. So we've been deprived of a Barney/Fife match-up.

And the Cubs get swept at home by the Dodgers. Three games in Philly this midweek.

An MRI of Derek Jeter's right calf showed a mild strain.

An MRI of Derek Jeter's right calf showed a mild strain. That's terrible. Dude can't seem to stay on the field.

They were talking about this on the broadcast as Phil Hughes was delivering another one of his wonderful pitching performances. They think Jeter has suffered from missing out on Spring Training to get his body into everyday playing shape.

This is going to be an interesting series between the Tribe and the Tigers the next few days. The Indians pessimist in me is really hesitant to watch, knowing how their August went last year...

Yeah, I think every Tigers fan knew when we got Iglesias that Peralta was gone, not just for short-term, but probably long-term as well, since Iglesias is locked up for the next few years.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Mets just cut Valdespin from their system. He's a headcase and not very popular among the other players or the organization. And he's just not very good either.

FINALLY OFFICIAL - Major League Baseball has suspended Alex Rodriguez up to the end of the 2014 season, totalling 211 games.
MLB @mlb Alex Rodriguez suspended 211 regular season games through 2014 for violating Joint Drug Prevention & Treatment Program & Basic Agreement.
...and he's appealed, so he plays tonight for the Yankees against the White Sox.

Multiple reports are making it official that Alex Rodriguez will be suspended for the remainder of the 2013 season and the entirety of the 2014 season, for a violation of the collective bargaining agreement, which, according to Jon Morosi, reads as, "...attempting to cover-up his violations of the Program by engaging in a course of conduct intended to obstruct and frustrate the Office of the Commissioner's investigation.
$27.5 million for Alex Rodriguez in 2014 is still like the third or fourth-worst contract the Yankees are locked into.

You know odds are since they are in Chi Town, A-Rod is going to get a ball in the ribs and the place is going to erupt in applause.

After all this endless nonsense, I kind of hope A-Rod goes something like 4-for-4 with 3 home runs and 8 RBI tonight.

Bartolo Colon will not face further punishment for his involvement in the Biogenesis clinic.

I think Colon and Melky Cabrera are the two names in the Biogenesis case that won't be suspended because they already served their time last year.
