mt thoughts:
1) the mistake TNA made wasn't in letting him go; companies do that all the time. the mistake they made was telling him he'd have a job for life, and announcing that to the rest of the world. one of the first lessons I learned in HR is you never make a promise to an employee you can't guarantee you can keep. so TNA put themselves in between a rock and a hard place when they never should have. it's one thing to say "we'll look after you to the best of our abilities" and another thing entirely to say "you will always have a job here and we'll never let you go for any reason".
2) if Sorensen indeed wants to get back in the ring in his condition, he's a fool and I can't blame TNA for having to let him go.

Sorensen has admitted he was never told he had a job for life. When did TNA announce that he would?

Actually, he hasn't said that at all.
He simply took down (or got his, um, friend to take down) the original post that said that.
For the record, Jason Powell was talking about this and said that one of the reasons people in TNA were mad was because their was the impression Dixie had indeed told him, and his mom, that.

So much for the idea he left on good terms.

You haters are a real piece of work. TNA did more then most corporations would do for an injured employee. You take worker's comp here in Florida and there is a good chance you will not have your job when your healthy again.

Due to the no politics rule, I won't dive into the problems with the American health care system and workers rights & benefits. TNA may have done more for their independent contractors than McDonalds and Wal-Mart but that still doesn't mean it's all good.

McDonalds/Wal-Mart employees don't take wrestling bumps day in and day out.

Yeah I understand, that's why I didn't get more in depth with my response. People here need to realize though, if you get injured on the job you are not entitled to a free life on the employers dime.

Probably because Dixie said one thing and then did another. The whole "You have a job for life thing"? The same statement that Sorensen said is false? That one? Don't let the facts get in the way of TNA hate.

- Recently released TNA Impact Wrestling star Jesse Sorensen posted a new tweet on his official Twitter account on Monday updating fans on the status of his neck. Sorensen wrote:
“Just received amazing news from the MRI my neck is 100% & is not at risk of being re injured! Time to make this dream really come true!”
For some reason, I don't quite believe him.

Me either, if it's what his hearts set on though I guess there's no stopping him. I just hope no booker has to have him re-injure himself on one of their shows, dude is such a liability at the moment.

I think it's his way of getting more booking in the indies. I think he'll get more regardless though because if he broke his neck again or hurt it again the indy company would take no blame because Sorensen had told them that his neck is fine and they have proof. I've heard Athletes, Doctors, Wrestlers etc say a broken neck never 100% heals though.
