As a well built (I'm 6ft1- 215 pounds) guy who work out 3-4 times per week maximum I recommand you: 1- Workout: I currently use the Tatanka workout www.nativetatanka.com/index_1.htm except that I do a lot less repetitions for each muscles(mostly because I don't want to become a wrestler, I have a job and I'm not a long time bodybuilder like Tatanka) 2- you don't need to do that much cardio, 25 minutes per week is allright, if you were too fat it would be a necessity but not in your case 3- alimentation... that is the toughest part, you should count your calories everyday. I recommand you to eat tuna and eggs and stay away from the fat, you don't want to look fat. 4- supplement: use creatine, I don't use it anymore because apparently it causes water retention but I had some REALLY good results when I was using it(it is a powder that I would put in my gatorade while training). It is 100% legal. I recommand you however to not abuse it.

Attack the protein hard along with carbs and add 1-2 meals to your daily eating schedule

Jeez, the next generation of Indy guys are either rail thin or fat loads Hey hey hey! I aint fat! Im not skinny either, im somewhere in between, but i hit the gym like a beast. And to the person who asked about ropes. We train on NON indy style ropes, its just the rubber over steel. So there is no taping. Because of this, i have permanent scars on my inner arms. Some guys have had their skin ripped off. I dont mind it, i actually enjoy the pain after a lil while.

as good of cardio as u might have as a runner, its totally different in the ring. Run suicides, thats probably the best thing thats closest to running ropes. Yes. Suicides are great for ring shape stamia. Gradually make them longer too. Another thing that is a great friend are isometric exercies. For diet? Protein is your best friend. The only way to build muscle the natural way quicker is to have a good protein based diet. In fact, my diet revolves around protein and carbs, because carbs aren't the enemy when you're active and working out every single day. I also use a few supplements (as many guys do). Nothing illegal, mainly stuff like NO2 stacks. Although I've recently been turned onto Xyence and that stuff is lovely. I must issue a precaution though, supplements are not good to be use as a "short cut" because all they do is enhance what you're doing naturally. you run suicides correctly they get longer every time. be it basketball or football those are horrible. better yet get a full set of football pads go down to the highschool football field and run suicides at five yard intervals up to 50 yards. you know 5 and back 10 and back 15 and so on and so on. and then ladder back down, after 50 and back do 45 and back. i still nearly throw up thinking about it or do what the military cadets have to do 40 push ups followed by 50 sit ups followed by 5 pullups followed by 35 yard ladders at full speed you will throw up after that. and be sick for two days

I just started doing an exercise that I read about on the Killer Kowalski's Pro Wrestling Training School website. You run for two minutes straight on the treadmill and then you walk for three and repeat for forty-five minutes. I just added it to my workout today as I am finally in the stage where I want to lose weight as opposed to gaining it for muscle.

That's nothing. In fact, I do something quite similar. Yeah, at first it's hard, but after you do it for a while it becomes easier. It's all about how bad do you really want it. Another thing, for the guy that said creatine...I don't really recommend it. Also, same guy, if you only do 25 minutes PER WEEK of cardio and then try to step into a wrestling ring: you will die. Or at least you will want to. I generally do 25 minutes to an hour of cardio A DAY so I can keep in ring shape.

yeah, I plan on doing quite a bit of cardio, as I don't want to blow up after 10 minutes in the ring.

Ya now that i m not going to school full time i am hitting the gym again. Tough for me cuz i am 6foot 2 and weight 220 and it is all sitting in my gut. So i do 20 minutes of cardio everyday and then hit the weights wtih the 3 sets and 8 reps i go 6 days a week and make sure to take my body weight in protien everyday. Sorry if that dont help with work out situation for the poster but for others that are maybe starting out bigger can use that or maybe for the original poster can remove the cardio.
Also i have stopped with creatine cuz it is just retains water and when you do finally stop using it you will lose a lot of the results that you had gained.

Yea they have us do that too at wrestling school, but we do like 2-3 sets of them, all in sucession AFTER we do a cardio drill. It aint easy.

A lot of indy guys are very skinny these days but the top indy guys are all in good shape. I'm in better shape than most of them myself, well I look in better shape.

Why are there so many OBSCENELY OBESE indy guys? Conspiracy by Vince to hold them down? Actually a lot of fat tubs in the indies can get a decent gimmick going, I think that's why.

Once again, thanks for the help.
And it seems to be all of the fat guys(well, a lot of the fat guys) are obscenely charasmatic, so they don't really need to be amazing in the ring, although many of them are quite capable.

Why are there so many OBSCENELY OBESE indy guys? Because...well I can never explain that one. But generally your top indie guys are the ones that don't look like they have the spare tire for a hummer.

you do the creatine incorrectly you will bloat up. it is pretty much just water weight. you 6 of creatine, with the correct amounts of water, then 3 weeks off the creatine, the back on and cycleit you will bulk up and keep the muscle.
some of those obscenely obese guys not all are ex linemen from college. they have the muscle underneath just let the partying after getting out of college take over.
