I honestly don't mind Chris Hardwick the actor. It's the Nerdist, Talking Dead, Talking Bad, appearances on Shark Week, etc. that irritate me. The reason I ask is because he dies in that movie. Violently, might I add. Then he becomes one of Dr. Satan's experiments. Thought you might get a kick out of that. But yeah, I get where you're coming from. It's enough already with Chris Hardwick.

This type of thread is always barrel-scraping crap. Take that as an unpopular opinion if you want.

Political correctness and worrying about someone being offended will be the death of society. Nirvana was a shitty band, that became more than they should have been because their singer was a coward and made himself a legend because he killed himself. While you may have a point about Kurt's legacy mostly being about his death, to imply that Nirvana weren't very popular when he was alive or that people only like them because he died would just be plain wrong. I really like Nirvana. I couldn't care less about Kurt Cobain committing suicide. I started listening to Nirvana because of all the buzz about them but I like them because I think their music is pretty awesome. I agree. This idea that Nirvana was somewhat unknown but then became extremely popular because Kobain died, I see as perpetrated by people who really dislike the band and were likely in diapers when the band's heydey was going on. If you were old enough to at least be aware of music at that time(or at least turned on mtv), you would have know about Nirvana. If anything, Kobain's death signaled the down fall of the 90s grunge era and set fourth the more general alternative rock era in the mid 90s. A better example of a lead singer's death rocketing the band to bigger fame would be Sublime.

Least this is going smoother than it's predecessor last year, which was basically started to harp on people with Down syndrome. The mods could probably tell you better than I can, as it ended up locked and deleted within hours.

I've been on various forums and that sort of unpleasantness is what they all seem to descend into.

The people who name their kids Porsche, Lexus, Mercedes, & Pinto are f***ing idiots too. but Mercedes IS a name. the guy who owned Benz named his first cars after his daughter. Yea, but how many people naming their kid know that today? I'd guess it would be a very small percentage. My wife told me a boy came in for a haircut with the name Mercedes. IT'S A f***ING GIRLS NAME! This type of thread is always barrel-scraping crap. Take that as an unpopular opinion if you want. Thanks...

I hoenstly believe stupidity should be legislated by courts. Sorry, not everyone should have the right to do what they like, like naming their kid something that will get them made fun of for the rest of their life.
Or to put themselves in the running for the Darwin Awards. For every intelligent person that may not like the idea of a "Nanny State", there are 3 others that need to be nannied...and probably told not to procreate.

The New 52 is just as good as the previous content and in some ways better, Red Hood and Arsenal for example.
Football sucks. So little of it is actually playing the game. Instead they take so much time setting things up to only play for a few seconds at a time. It's ridiculous that it can take over 5 minutes to get through :30 on the clock.

They were massively successful. But at the time of his death, they fading in their popularity. I doubt they would have been around more than a few more years. They would always have been remembered as the band that killed glam, but they would not be remembered as they are today due strictly to him killing himself.

How it was in other areas I am unsure.

Not saying I doubt you, but besides the little boy I mentioned earlier, every Mercedes either one of us have ever known/heard of have been blondes, usually bimbos, or at least on their way. Anyway, who gives a f***? We're into semantics now, & my point stands. f***ing idiots name their kids after brand names. We're thisclose to seeing kids named Starbucks, Reebok, & Magnavox! That's beyond stupid!! They should be lined up and shot! Ok, obviously I'm not serious about that. Exaggeration is fun. Can we all agree the stupid have too loud a voice? I think so;) Goodnight FAN:)

The US school calender needs to be longer. Summer vacation is outdated because it is based on the agrarian calender and around the hottest months of the year-we are not agrarian anymore and we have air conditioning in the modern day. Our nearest cultural neighbors in the UK, Canada, and Australia all have longer school calendars than we do. Summer vacation should be slimmed down to one month so that information will stay fresher in kids minds and teacher's won''t have to spend the first several weeks of the new school year re-teaching what was already taught the previous year.

Star Wars is one six movie series, not two three movie ones.
Star Wars is made of 5 great movies, plus The Empire Strikes Back.
Empire is especially horrid from a storytelling perspective. Hardly anything occurs naturally, most of the movie jumps from coincidence and plot contrivance to coincidence and plot contrivance.
The new movies should not be called VII, VIII, and IX. The first six movies tell the story of the rise, fall, and redemption of Anakin Skywalker. That is a complete story.
What the new movies should do, is take a cue from the Flash Gordon serials that inspired them. With those, once a story concluded, a new one would start, as a new episode one.
How the new one should be is Star Wars: [Series Subtitle]: Episode I: [Episode Title]

-Opinions absolutely can be wrong. Somewhere along the line people became convinced that they were entitled to think whatever they want. The truth however is you're entitled to an informed opinion. There are many things that can be proven or disproven by evidence or example. And in those cases, people who cannot back up their own flawed stances are wrong and should concede the point. - All fairplay sports and awards should be abolished. The fact is, not everyone is a winner. And by losing, you either learn or strive to get better, or you adapt and move onto something else you can maybe excel in. If everyone gets a ribbon and no one keeps scores, it creates false expectation of equality in the world, and sadly, the real working world is NOT like that. Sorry parents trying to create that illusion, some kids are simply better at certain things than little Timmy, and he needs to know that so he can grow and adapt. Because when he works one day, he will absolutely not be ready for the shit-storm of depression and shock he'll receive. -There should be no such thing as censorship. A warning should suffice for TV, music and movies. No one should decide what I get to see or listen to, and what is good or bad for me. -Reality TV needs to end. It's getting ridiculous. I mean how many pawn shows are there? And why the f*** would anyone want to watch it? Every week is like being trapped with your grandad at a garage sale where he tries to haggle with some dude selling a decoy duck. It's the f***ing dirt worst. And don't get me started on Survivor. -Women who take pictures of their lunch should be subjected to the same prison sentences dudes who robbed post office's in the 30's had to. - Questioning authority is necessary for society to grow and advance. Only cowards do what they're told when it offends their sense of right and wrong and they know better. Going along to get along is the death knell of civilization. -If you procrastinate, you'll never be successful. Ever. So, if you have a skill or dream, do it. Or you don't deserve your gifts. - Dudes who hate guys like CM Punk so passionately don't realize that they do so because he's somehow triggering repressed high school nerdy feelings of social awkwardness flooding back. "I hate that CM Punk because he's so smug and witty and arrogant. It's like he thinks he's better than me!" He is. Guys like him are your natural predator. You're just a fat gazelle for guys like him to feast on, and they do so with little effort. - You're entitled to be offended by certain things. But you're not entitled to tell others they should have to feel the same way. I see this constantly. And honestly, it just makes me want to aggravate them out of spite. Serial outrage is brutally annoying. It's like some people need to think something is absolute so they can justify their own beliefs. Makes little sense to me. I don't care.

I will take the current line up of the Smashing Pumpkins over James Iha, D'arcy Wretsky and Jimmy Chamberlin coming back, because at least Mike Bryne, Nicole Fiorentino and Jeff Schroeder actually look like they want to be there. People also forget so easily that it was Billy Corgan's baby from the start, and get fixated on this mythical version of the band that probably never existed.
That said, I wouldn't mind if Zwan somehow reunited. So much wasted potential there.
