After watching Summerslam, both Lesnar/Punk and Cena/Bryan were booked the way that Bully/Sabin should have been handled. Both matches featured smaller, tenacious guys going up against bigger, more muscular wrestlers (with somewhat limited movesets) - one had the smaller guy victorious, the other had him win, yet both had their respective "underdogs" come out looking strong. Whether Sabin has the in ring skills of Bryan or Punk is moot - it's how they utilised them in the ring. Can you imagine the war that would break out on this board if Hulk Hogan screwed a popular pure wrestler out of a title? Another "TNA Death Watch" thread would begin. I think they meant the way the matches were booked and carried out, not necessarily the storylines.

That group of pics insinuating Sabin is worse than classic NWA champs isn't fair.
Times change. Punk looks like a little boy next to Bruno and Hogan....is he a disgrace?

Naw, those pics was showing that Sabin is part of the exclusive club of transition champions who never won the big one again in their career.

If Sabin was built as a serious threat during the match but lost, he would had gained more than getting his ass handed to him and winning by underhanded means. He was basically treated like Barry Horowitz.

He was given a feel-good comeback from injury reign, but I knew that Bully would win the title back soon to go on and face the BFG Series winner, which will probably be AJ. I don't think that Sabin will ever be a main eventer again.

Sabin lost the title back to the person he won it from. A transitional champion is someone like The Iron Sheik, who won the title from Bob Backlund, so he could lose it to Hulk Hogan. Randy Orton's first WHC reign also fits under the transitional heading, as well, since he won from Benoit to lose to Triple H less than a month later. Of course, Orton has been able to grow beyond the Transitional Champion he was back then. Now, if Sabin's reign was supposed to be a "Thank You" reign, for his loyalty to TNA over the years... they did a really bad job at it.
