Not for nothing but even with the blanket, wouldn't the flames have spat out to the sides at that point and lit other shit on fire?

I don't know how much the fire brought the match down, but from what I saw Bray Wyatt wrestles like Husky Harris and I was not a fan of Husky Harris.

Actually I see nothing wrong with this. Imo there are way too many people on the roster being presented as "big deals". It's better to let Wyatt cool off now, than to have him run over everyone and then hit a point where there's nowhere to go but down (see Shield, The). Cool off? They've been around less than a month and a half. If the WWE needs to cool them off already then they shouldn't have been brought up. What do you propose they do? Beat Ziggler, Miz, Show, Henry, Punk, and RVD every month, but then realize that it's too soon for them to be World Champions and shove them down the card. Once they've been pushed at that high level, it looks like a big step down when they're not, and there will be a bunch of threads about how hard they've fallen: see also: Riley, Alex Miz, The Ryback, The Barrett, Wade Cesaro, Antonio Swagger, Jack Ziggler, Dolph Rhodes, Cody McIntyre, Drew. Truth, R Last name not given, Sheamus Ryder, Zack

Why does everyone believe Bray Wyatt is a good wrestler? The guy has two giant henchmen following him around, if he was a good wrestler, he wouldn't need them, he would personally kick everyone's ass.

That Steve Austin fellow is getting too hot, need to push him down the card. Can't have the NWO keep doing what they're doing, better push them down the card.

That spot with the stairs has to go.
Either hit them with the sides and protect them with your hands or something/let them bump for it (Same as everyone has been doing for years when people run into their opponent with stairs) or just don't do it.
Hitting people with the air between the stairs feels like they're making fun of me for watching wrestling.

I thought it was sloppy as shit. Probably the worst match of the night. The attention seemed to mostly be on what was going on outside of the ring. I didn't think it was a good debut match for Wyatt.

I think Kane is getting a pass here. Over the last year, he's become pretty worthless in a one on one situation. He's sluggish and doesn't work well with biggish guys. Bray's not amazing but he'll definitely have better matches against other people.

Way too much focus on how Harper and Rowan would end up interfering. If they had the blanket all along why didn't they just do that the first time? And the point of the stipulation was to make sure no one would interfere. Very bad. They didn't have it the whole time, they punched out the firemen until they found something that would put the fire out. I did love how out of all the weapons they could have picked to throw in, they chose the one that's flammable

Didn't enjoy it.
Match seemed to rely too much on the "THE FLAMES!" but honestly did this match NEED to be...that? A normal match between them would have probably worked, those guys weren't really in a heated(no pun) feud. The stipulation hurt the actual match more than it helped it.

Even so, it was still bad.

And higher.

Big men are such rarely good wrestlers. Husky is not bad, but those other two guys are just generic as hell. It feels like Ravens Flock, minus all the talented wrestlers and Raven's promo ability.

Reminds me of the time Sheamus hit the Irish Curse on the steps and the commentators played up how much more devastating it was.

I have sympathy for them, it's always going to be too hot in a match like that to put on something good. It looks like they knew that as well since Kane and Wyatt didn't do much and so much focus was on Harper and Rowan. I think matches like this are always going to be more trouble than they're worth.

For some reason WWE didn't think Wyatt and Kane could put on an entertaining match, but clearly WWE hasn't been watching their own developmental show.
Yeah - that match was just...well, clearly they weren't trying to have a solid match - they were just filling time while shenanigans happened on the outside. When the REAL story of the match is happening on the outside with the people who aren't in the match that's not right for a PPV. That's a SD/RAW gimmick. PPV's should be about actual matches.

Yeah, the PPV last night had just way too much outside interference and run ins for my taste, but it was especially dopey in an Inferno/Ring of Fire match. I have been willing to give the Wyatts a chance given that the vignettes have been kinda interesting, but my brother has trashed them from day one. Having seen a bit of them now in the ring I can safely say I agree with him. Let's face it....these guys suck. From what we've seen of Harper and Rowan they are sloppy, incompetent brawlers and Bray Wyatt is, well, Husky Harris. WWE can do all the smoke and mirrors antics and gimmick they want, but at the end of the day these guys are going to have to wrestle at some point.
It alarms me that WWE is going to push the Wyatts and depush The Shield. That's basically burying three guys who can wrestle and are really good for three guys who suck.

Like many others I think the stipulation meant they were limited on what they could do and the whole match just made Bray look bad. Not exactly what you want from a debut match. Big men are such rarely good wrestlers. Husky is not bad, but those other two guys are just generic as hell. It feels like Ravens Flock, minus all the talented wrestlers and Raven's promo ability. Harper's pretty good actually, and Bray is great at promos (like the one below). www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGzrmJXa5jg
