One of the firemen was Harold/Scorpio Sky (with them being in LA, even though they said they would never do business with him again since his twitter comments), I could appreciate what they are trying to do, and will probably rewatch it when I get the dvd a couple of times as it was random and fun....but not a great match because of those things just different.
I was really hoping for a Taker run in once the family entered.

They need to have Wyatt win a singles match fairly clean tonight to make him look good. Not a "this guy is important" squash but a decent length match to show what he can do like they gave Sandow/Cesaro in their early days.

So...who's up for a Cage Of Fire match?

The Wyatt family constantly trying to get into the ring made me laugh too. They looked so funny backing away from the fire as if it wasn't hot until it shot up or something. Match really could have been better if it was just one on one.
Kane giving Bray multiple chokeslams didn't really make the match much better. Taker coming out to save Kane would have been pretty cool though, the crowd was begging for it.

I thought it was ok, really enjoyed the feud and liked the idea of the stipulation. At the same time, not the absolute worst thing ever in the ring, I think others are being awfully hard on it. Thought Wyatt came out looking fine, he isn't supposed to be really strong, he's a heel cult leader who has brainwashed others to believe he is strong.

to be fair to Bray, given the inherent danger of the match's premise, it's very difficult to book a GOOD match involving a flaming ring. they should take the concept out to pasture like the Scaffold match.

I think it was a mistake to have their first match against each other, and Bray's first match at all (in this character), be an Inferno Match.

Re-watched and Bray got more offense than I initially thought.

It was a bad choice for Bray's first match. Inferno matches are generally not good.

Too early in the feud for a gimmick match. This kind of thing should happen towards the end of a bitter and sustained rivalry as the blow-off.

I HATED this match. Honestly one of the most disappointing matches I've ever experienced. I went in with high hopes, and they gave us Kane Chokeslamming Wyatt three times and the Wyatt family members beating up Kane.
The only part I liked was the visual of them taking Kane away.
Gosh that was a letdown. Wyatt looked awful, Kane looked awful for not pinning him after so many pins, and Harper and Rowan looked like buffoons.

Of course it was going to be bad.
There hasn't been a decent inferno match yet.

My criticisms:
1) Why were they having a ring of fire match? To keep out the Wyatts, fine. Why not just have a cage match? Because it's Kane? But they made it no disqualification pinfall/submission and not an inferno rules match? What?! WHY?! Have a damned cage match instead.
2) Bray got so little offence in. Not a major problem, but eh, it wasn't very good. Plus Kane not pinning him after 1 or 2 chokeslams = Kane's a dumb arse. I didn't expect Bray to dominate Kane, but christ...
3) The Wyatts got in. Thus rendering the point of the match obsolete making you ask why the Hell they did this. Gimmick matches should not be for the start of feuds, they should be the end, having an inferno match with no-DQ rules that ends like ALL the Wyatt beatdowns makes it a complete waste.
4) They need to ban anyone EVER from using that awful looking steps guillotine. Why didn't they stunt Kane's glove to be set on fire? Or a layer of false hair? Or his tights? Why an inferno match at all? In a match where people suffer they...had to do a beatdown post-match to attack the losing man? Completely illogical.
A 3/10 match on a card that was otherwise absolutely brilliant up and down.

Well that would have been quite dull really. Why not advertise it as a "new" match type? Probably got people more excited for it than just a boring old cage match which never ever succeeds in keeping people out. 2. He has been booked pretty strong in the lead up and had one-upped Kane a few times so it made sense for Wyatt to get beaten up a bit. I thought he got just enough offence in personally. Plus the Kane multiple chokeslams thing is so obvious that I can't believe people are missing the point of it. It tells the story of Wyatt getting under Kane's skin enough to push Kane over the edge. Kane didn't just want to beat Wyatt but prove that he was still a monster and still the "Devil's favourite demon". The whole story is, had Kane gone for the pin and not tried to hurt Wyatt, he WOULD have won. He didn't, so Wyatt's plan worked. I thought that was pretty self-explanatory. 3. I kind of understand where you're coming from however I feel the Wyatt's getting in just shows the control Wyatt has over them. They never gave up trying and eventually found a way to overcome what Kane had put in front of them. Kane under-estimated the Wyatt Family's bond and what Bray's followers were capable of. 4. Now you're just nit-picking. The steps guillotine didn't look great but it was a fairly unique way to KO Kane and allow the Wyatt's to abduct him. I thought it was pretty much common knowledge by now that someone getting set on fire wasn't happening due to the risk involved plus the PG rating. This is all to further the story of Kane being brainwashed to join the Wyatt Family I presume. Kane getting set on fire would have killed the visual of them carrying him away plus would've just raised the complaint from a select few about how it was kind of stupid for the Bray to burn him if he also wanted to brainwash him. At least hitting him with the steps is, in theory, easier to recover from and was mostly done just to keep him incapacitated long enough to drag him away.

At least hitting him with the steps is, in theory, easier to recover from and was mostly done just to keep him incapacitated long enough to drag him away. 1 - A friend said the same to me. I understand from a marketing point of view, but as far as me being a fan I just don't understand the internal logic (again, WWE logic = no logic can be used...) 2 - That's fair enough. I suppose it just felt a bit dull in what was being called an outrageous match. That is entirely just a personal opinion about the match quality so yes, fair enough and it does make sense given Kane's not gotten an upperhand at all outside of it. 3 - You're right there, I suppose I just find annoyance with extreme gimmick matches being used to open up feuds. 4 - I believe this ties in to point 3: why have such an extreme gimmick match (in kayfabe terms, I know it's safe) and end it in the same way we've seen on Raw without establishing Bray as a tough guy in his own right? You are entirely right over the internal logic for the rest of the family breaking in with the asbestos sheet. I suppose given we saw the guillotine done a few weeks ago I expected more? It just looks pretty bad as a move as well.

Not great but I think that was due to the stipulation, I would have preferred a normal match
