I didn't like how it came off. First off, it wasn't a good match. Second, they didn't book Bray very well. Kane hit multiple chokeslams on him and it looked like Kane easily dominated him. Then Bray needed his family to interfere in order to win. This could have been the chance to give Bray a big convincing win to get him started. I didn't think Bray came out looking too strong.

The blanket spot was cool (no pun intended) and creative, but outside of that, it sucked. And I'm really not interested in Kane being a part of the family like he's inevitably going to be.

Visually it looked awesome, but it was obvious they couldn't really move around the ring like they wanted to due to to the fire. I liken it to a scaffold match, interesting concept, cool visual, but nearly impossible to do much to make the fighting look interesting.

I would enjoy it if Kane appeared tomorrow night on RAW dragging a large blood soaked sack, which when opened and allowed to have the contents dumped out revealed a bloody pair of white pants and hawaiian shirt, ripped up mask and fedora, broken bits of rocking chair, and shattered contents of a lamp. And the Wyatt family were never spoken of again.

Horrible match, awesome pyrotechnics. Hope we eventually see a better match with those special effects, those were awesome.

Way too much focus on how Harper and Rowan would end up interfering. If they had the blanket all along why didn't they just do that the first time? And the point of the stipulation was to make sure no one would interfere. Very bad.

Pointless? probably, but my brother and I busted out laughing at the super fireman who risked his life to put out that flaming kendo stick. Then a little later when Rowan and Harper knocked out the other fireman. It didn't show it on camera but they panned over and he was laid out. We let our imagination run and said that Rowan choke slammed him and Harper did a 450 off the barricade.

I liked the skeleton of it. Fighting in a ring of fire makes for a cool visual but the match was off, the idea of the Wyatt family assaulting Kane and indoctrinating him is cool but that con-stair-to looks awful. The visual at the end though of the barely lit Wyatts carrying Kane away was really cool though.

I liked the blanket spot and the post-match weirdness, but yeah, inferno/fire matches generally suck. There's just not a lot you can do, and I'm sure the heat is brutal on the performers. Bray looked to be soaked with sweat by the end.

Actually I see nothing wrong with this. Imo there are way too many people on the roster being presented as "big deals". It's better to let Wyatt cool off now, than to have him run over everyone and then hit a point where there's nowhere to go but down (see Shield, The).

I'm a Bray Wyatt believer and I didn't like the match. The story was good and they stayed true to that. Bray could have looked stronger, but he won and Kane was demolished at the end. Raven used to look weak a lot during his cult leader days too. I think Bray's character has the magnetism to look weak and still be strong if that makes sense.
But as others said, the speed and simplicity with which the ring of fire was foiled defeats the concept and sort makes the gimmick match a waste of time. The ring of fire should have been the blow-off match not the opening of a feud.
I'd say 5/10, but that is probably being generous. Still interested to see where they go with Bray.

I agree that the match wasn't the best, mostly because both guys were limited in what they could do in that kind of environment. I still don't get the "it made Bray look bad argument". He was never promoted as a dominating monster who could physically go toe to toe with Kane. He was promoted as a deranged, manipulative sociopath who uses his followers to his advantage. That's exactly what he did.

My opinion: It looked great. The match, however, was awful.

They've been around less than a month and a half. If the WWE needs to cool them off already then they shouldn't have been brought up.

Kane probably regrets not pinning him after all of those chokeslams.
