I'm tempted to make a separate thread about this tomorrow, but I feel like the only one not feeling the whole Corporation rehash. I admit, I kinda like where this is going, but I'm not digging the players. Save Daniel Bryan, this feels like a really tired sequel to me. You, friend, have apparently not been in the Raw thread in the last 20 minutes.

I'm hoping that this ends with Bryan winning the WWE Championship that he rightfully deserves, kicking ass and taking names like the badass he's been the last couple of months.
But I don't see that happening.

Said it in another thread, but I'm getting way too many Booker T "People like you" vibes. I could be wrong, hope I am, but they're there.

My only gripe with this whole thing has nothing to do with the narrative, which is perfect thus far. I'm just SO TIRED of HHH, the McMahons and Orton themselves that I find myself rolling my eyes and bored out of my mind whenever I see them.
That's no slight to Bryan however. I want him to get his monster push and keep it because he deserves it.

They made me want to see Bryan kick Orton's ass even more. As far as I'm concerned, tonight was pitch perfect. Why give away Bryan getting his hands on Orton/HHH now when there's PPVs in the future where that can happen? You're saying Randy Orton was "pitch perfect"?

I fully understand hereticence, of some, to fully embrace this storyline. For one, it involves Triple H. And when things involve him, it usually ends with him coming out ahead. For another, there's always the looming specter of Cena. Every major storyline, of the past few years, usually wind up revolving around him. And if logic tells me anything, this wont be any different.
But if this story is allowed to play out the way it should, it could be something special. Look, I'm one of those guys who is never going to stop watching WWE. So, I always hold out hope that there's something that will shake up the status quo. Watching WWE can often be a frustrating endeavour, with them usually doing the opposite of what makes sense. But I hold out hope, that this time it's different.

Eh, I mean, I get it. But it just feels very "WE SWEVERED YOU GOOD!" Russo-esque, BS. Super powerful corporate team...not strikingly original, but not horribly executed like IMMORTAL was. That being said, Bryan's gonna be out for blood and Orton, HHH, and the McMahon's - they're gonna get their f***ing heads kicked in! spoiler'd for language {Spoiler} Or at least they better at the end of all this and not some Cena BS in 6 months.

I find it hilarious that the underlying theme of this story is that every member of the family that runs the company is clueless and terrible business-people.

I would enjoy seeing Orton bring back the punt as his finisher. It's definitely more of a heelish move & he could put a few people out for awhile that they aren't using to further put over his new heeldom.

But I don't see that happening. Yeah, I mean, I'm hoping for the best, but I unfortunately I can see it turning into Bryan being constantly humiliated until Cena/Sheamus/Rock come back to town and take the reigns while Bryan gets stuck in yet another filler match at Wrestlemania.

In one word-'yawn'.
Don't get me wrong, people are HOT for DBry, and he'll play the role to the hilt, but Orton bores me +Mcmahon family stuff past like 2000 bores me..
Makes for one stale, hard to stomach Reese's Cup

Sour grapes that it isn't Punk in Bryan's position? What are you talking about? You made a thread a couple of days ago about how much better Punk was than Bryan and then attacked anyone who disagreed? People remember that kind of thing dude. Anyway, I didn't think it was too bad. Honestly, I much prefer HHH as a dickhead heel than a smarmy face who's too cool to follow the rules.

Enjoying it, genuinely. It feels like a major storyline already and they've planted the seeds for some serious potential. Excited for next week.

I really liked how the angle progressed. I do think it is a little too inside baseball though. However, Orton is perfect for the role and I love that they are using The Shield. So much for HHH wanting to de-push The Shield in favor of the Wyatts.

the part that made me laugh was how teddy long was the only one on stage applauding (enthusiastically even) when orton came out

So far, so good, but I am concerned about the "B+" line and references to Daniel Bryan's height and so forth.
I also think the time has come for that beard to go. Keeping it just adds justification to the Corporation's claim that Daniel Bryan literally cannot be the face of WWE looking the way he does.
