the part that made me laugh was how teddy long was the only one on stage applauding (enthusiastically even) when orton came out My favorite part as well.

So far, so good, but I am concerned about the "B+" line and references to Daniel Bryan's height and so forth. I also think the time has come for that beard to go. Keeping it just adds justification to the Corporation's claim that Daniel Bryan literally cannot be the face of WWE looking the way he does. But wouldn't shaving the beard pretty much mean he's conforming to what the heels want? Hell, shaving the beard now would pretty mean he's turning heel or Corporate at this point. It's pretty much apart of his character now. It's the thing that a lot of people identify him with. It's what makes him different. Heck, I'd say the whole point of this angle is to show that Daniel Bryan CAN be the main face of the company, despite what he looks like. I mean maybe a better way of handling it would be if Bryan is attacked by The Shield, held down, and had his beard forcibly shaved off. In sort of a "If you're not gonna conform, we'll MAKE you conform" sort of deal. That way, I feel, it will give Bryan even more sympathy and give him even more fuel to the fire to kick ass.

I can definitely see a beatdown imminent where they all hold him down and shave him just to add even more fuel to the fire.

Maybe, once he's entrenched as champion for a while, but in this angle... no. Bryan shouldn't change a damn thing for those backstabbers.

They never should have made the beard such an important point of principle, because it looks so bad, the Corporation would be correct in saying it's part of the reason they don't see him as a torch bearer for the company. It didn't need to be part of his character. Keeping it gives the Corporation credibility in being skeptical of his suitability

I mean, he's not a bad looking guy with out it. But he kinda looked like a little kid. I would agree that the beard would need to be trimmed somewhat. But honestly, he's already gotten this far with the beard being a main feature, why shave it now?

I also think the time has come for that beard to go. I'd say to keep it and just dye the top half darker, it's so light that it blends into his skin and I always think he's got an almish thing going on.

If it was even trimmed and tidy it would be an improvement, but right now the guy looks like a freakish mess. It's understandable that they don't want him representing them. I'd even say Randy Orton could do with shaving.

I'd be okay with the beard being trimmed up a bit, maybe through a near call with them trying to shave it, but yeah, I'd say you can't possibly ditch it right now.

Talked to my 7 year old niece about it.
She seems to get the sense of dread atleast. She just doesn't buy Bryan as 'the' guy to take them down. Says he needs help from Sheamus or Cena.
"Without any help, he'll lose and then Triple H takes over the world."

I'm surprised that Hunter hasn't had a stab at the whole world domination thing yet. A few Pedigrees to the leaders of the free world here, a couple of sledgehammers to the heads of the Middle East for the oil there, and all of a sudden humanity is enslaved into digging giant burial pits.

So, Orton is the face of the WWE?
Isn't he on like Strike 7 for all the suspensions from different issues and what not? Real great choice there.
