The real man, not the character in any way. I am sure I heard an interview from a wrestler a few years back saying that Vince was on a red carpet for something, incredibly busy, yet once he saw a disabled person in a wheel chair at the side the first thing he did was say he will deal with everything later and just went straight up and talked to the person for a long amount of time. Like I said, for the life of me I can't remember who told the story or anything but it has always stood out to me as how nice Vince is to the less fortunate than he is, especially with people with disabilities and special needs (no matter how much they gloat about it the Make A Wish is a really good thing, and they don't need to do it if they didn't want to have the relationship with the charity).
So how big of a thread can we make here?....

He's paid for countless wrestler's rehab stints. Sometimes multiple times per person.

I recall hearing Vince paid for Sherri Martel's funeral costs, with Booker T paying for her headstone.

I don't think he's ever been rude to a fan.

He's paid for countless wrestler's rehab stints. Sometimes multiple times per person. This is what I was gonna say. He has been very, very supportive of guys going to rehab. He has also given many second chances to people who were never going to be main event draw types. (Jannetty comes to mind.)

William Regal passed out in his office. He still hired him and never mentioned it.
When Joey Mercury was fired he personally sat down with him, told him that he was doing this because 'we're worried you're going to die'. He credits this as being what got him off drugs.
The guy genuinely doesn't ask people do do something he wouldn't.

I read something a while ago that he made a pretty big donation to charity and was insistant that his donation doesnt get any media coverage or publicity or for anyone to know he donated. Something around those lines anyway.

I think he personally paid for Bob Holly's failed racing career and when Bob offered to pay him back he refused.

I remember reading somewhere that he helped a top star pay for a house and refused to let him pay it back.

He has also given many second chances to people who were never going to be main event draw types. (Jannetty comes to mind.) In one of Foley's books he talks about a conversation where Terry Funk said Vince sometimes hires people just to be nice, that actually explains quite a bit down the years.

Wasn't he going to hire The Young Bucks sight unseen, just because Shawn told him Marty loves them? Or something like that.

The time I met him in line at a place in NYC and let him cut in front of me was hilarious, he went right into "Mr" Mcmahon mode.

I think paying for any wrestler, regardless of whether they're fresh from TNA (Tonko, for example) to have rehab is pretty damn nice.

It's amazing how he can seemingly bury the hatchet with just about anyone. For example, Superstar Graham has said so many horrible things, including that Vince knew about kids being raped by his employees and did nothing about it, yet he's brought Superstar back over and over again. I am very easy going person, but I could never speak to someone who said something like that about me in public, much less give them any of my money.

I recall hearing Vince paid for Sherri Martel's funeral costs, with Booker T paying for her headstone. Im pretty sure he also paid for Bam Bam's funeral, too Several northeastern wrestlers attempted to raise funds for Bam Bam Bigelow's New Jersey Funeral. Wild Samoan Afa contacted Vince McMahon, who agreed to pay for the funeral. A second funeral for Bigelow, in Flordia, was funded by local wrestlers in the area. Bigelow's New Jersey funeral was attended by the likes of Mick Foley, Diamond Dallas Page and Brother Ray from Team 3D. (source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter) I think he personally paid for Bob Holly's failed racing career and when Bob offered to pay him back he refused. This is true, Holly goes into more detail about it in his book.

I don't doubt that Vince McMahon has done some good things.
It's just that all the bad things he has done tend to get more publicity because as Eric Bischoff's philosophy proved, "controversy creates cash" (and ratings)

The way WWE treats U.S. soldiers is pure class.
