For the most part, he's willing to admit when he's wrong and not let personal feelings get in the way of what the fans want/what's good for the company.
He put his body on the line countless times over the years e.g. wrestling Austin with a broken tailbone, being busted open really badly numerous times etc.

He paid off a huge tax bill for Ric Flair a few years ago. And Flair repays him by going to TNA and then coming back and f***ing up a press conference over a video game among other things. Ric sounds like quite an ungrateful asshole. I won't forgive him for burying D-Bry either.

The way WWE treats U.S. soldiers is pure class. I think it borders on patronizing. Then again, that's just me.

All the charity he and makes his wrestlers promote. Be a STAR, Tribute to the Troops, Make a Wish, Breast Cancer month, giving away money to fans while humoring is by being Rick Rolled. Although he did get mad at Donald Trump giving the crowd a refund.
But honestly a lot of fans or employees rarely say a bad thing about him which is mind blowing for all the thousands of people he has employed in his lifetime. Plus Jericho mentioned he knows the full names of almost every employee from wrestlers to the TV production crew, to the bus drivers, to the HR reps, to the guy who sells popcorn.

I recall hearing Vince paid for Sherri Martel's funeral costs, with Booker T paying for her headstone. Im pretty sure he also paid for Bam Bam's funeral, too And Paul Burchill's brother's funeral.

I'm sure one reason is because he uses the head of talent as a buffer. Plus, no one really wants to piss him off because of who he is.

- For the first show in the area after the Va Tech shooting, the WWE offered free tickets to Va Tech students. All they needed to do was show their student i.d., and they'd be let in for free.
- He put James Dudley on the payroll and kept him on it till his death.
- He will do anything in the ring to entertain the fans, as a heel he won't come out on top in a feud. He's got no problems being humiliated in the ring, and it's passed on to his children.

Vince seems like a genuinely nice dude. I'd like to work out with him, bet that would be fun.

An old school buddy of mine actually works for WWE as a production assistant. We talk via facebook sometimes, and I couldn't resist asking him what Vince is like once. He laughed and said "Pretty normal, but sometimes just like on TV." Sounds pretty close to what I've heard about Vince as a man.
A story on Will "Paul Bearer" Moody's website actually describes the day he got hired by WWE. The interview with Vince was very last minute, but they flew him in to New York, put him up in a penthouse hotel room, and paid for anything he wanted to eat or drink. Moody described being nervous as anyone on a job interview when he walked into Vince's office, but Vince just laughed and said "Where have you been all these years?" When he was looking over Moody's resume he asked about his past as a mortician and when Moody confirmed it Vince told him "That is just too much!" Sounds like the kind of job interview I wish I could have.

I can't add a story that someone hasn't already mentioned, but I remember reading an interview with Shawn or in one of Mick's books that Vince is actually extremely nice in real life and how it was such a shame that people really don't get to see that side of him. Which is why I'm glad we have this thread. The way WWE treats U.S. soldiers is pure class. The same with how they treat kids with terminal diseases.

He hired Eric Bischoff and didn't completely bury him. Bisch was actually booked pretty well for the most part.

The WWE has had a long association with the Special Olympics (that doesn't get publicized much). Pretty sure it's been going on since the Hulkamania era.

Which is why I'm glad we have this thread. The way WWE treats U.S. soldiers is pure class. The same with how they treat kids with terminal diseases. There's a really nice video of him, Hulk Hogan, and Randy Savage meeting before RAW with some sick kids from the National Children's Leukemia Foundation. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vi3aKFDQG8The story that I really like is how he called Bret Hart up almost immediately after he had his stroke in 2002. In spite of all the betrayal, bad blood, and bad feelings that the two still had between them, Bret says that as he was lying in the hospital, the nurse came in and plugged a hospital phone in next to him so that he could get calls. Barely anybody would've known the phone number for that phone, yet as soon as the nurse plugged it in, it rang, and it was Vince on the other line, checking on him, and giving him a heartfelt "you're a fighter, you can beat this" pep talk.
