So...is there any contest for those of us who can't draw but can write? No offense guys, but the more I see of Marvel and DC, I become more positive that even an unprofessional amateur like me could write rings around their crappy staff. DC's problem isn't its writers, it's the editors who constantly mandate changes and force the writers to write the stories the editors want them to tell rather than their own thing. and the editors can't agree with each other about what the stories are supposed to be about (or even whats in continuity and what isn't) and don't check with each other to see whose using what characters, so they end up with a muddled mess. the best of the New 52 have been books that ignore what everyone else is doing and do their own thing (Wonder Woman, Animal man and Swamp Thing, hell even Aquaman's been mostly left to its own devices, which is odd for a Geoff Johns title).

The worst thing thing that Marvel has done as of late? Change up the background for a classic Iron Man enemy for a movie. (Though, your mileage may vary there.) No I totally agree. Time for Iron Man to stay with the Avengers exclusively, and for Marvel to focus on the fresher stuff (Cap, Thor, maybe Ruffalo Hulk? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ?) Of course, I thought the IM series jumped the shark with the first sequel. None of the other films could capture what IM1 had. Oh and another thing we can hold against Marvel: burying its good cartoons and replacing them with mediocre-to-bad followups. I hope Spectacular does hot ratings on Vortexx so we can get Ultimately Dumb Spider-Man canned and bring it back! Comic-wise, what do you all think of Superior Spider-Man? I'd hate to quote a relatively old-ish post, but Marvel couldn't bring back Spectacular Spider-Man even if they wanted to. Sony sold back the the animation rights for Spider-Man to Marvel, but not the trademarks for Spectacular Spider-Man. And Sony sold the animation rights so could keep the movie rights. In fact, this is probably the reason why Ultimate Spider-Man even exists in the first place. The only other option would be to round up the old crew and make some sort of spiritual successor.

See, personally I love the Ultimate Spidey show. It's a lot of fun.

I distinctly recall Paul Dini saying working on Ultimate Spider-man under Jeph Loeb was one of the most miserable experiences of his life.
