I couldn't tell you the exact years, but I was watching early to mid 1990s Rumbles earlier this week, and a few things that REALLY surprised me were Henry Godwinn and Kama making final fours (in 95 and 94respectively I think, could be wrong) and Make a Difference Fatu lasting like forever and eliminating a bunch of people. Kama was 1996, but I don't think Henry Godwinn ever made the final four. Final five in 1995, but never final four. It seems strange in hindsight that Fatu made the final four in 1994 seeing as he was still strictly a tag team wrestler in The Head Shrinkers.

What year was it where Road Dogg lasted longer than he ever should have by spending the vast majority of the match laying down in the corner with his arms wrapped around the ropes?

Wasn't Henry Godwinn final four in '97? Vader, Bret, Taker and Austin Actually, despite the PPV the next month, the actual Final Four of the 1997 Rumble were, in order of elimination; The Undertaker, The Fake Diesel, Bret "Hit Man" Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Vader was eliminated slightly before Taker.

Yeah, Austin eliminated both Taker and Vader, and then Bret to "win" the Rumble - the match at Final Four was made-up of the guys Austin illegally eliminated. I thought that was a great ending (hated it at the time of course as a Hart mark), a nice idea that worked nicely for Austin and Bret on the road they were on leading to WrestleMania.
