I understand what WWE is TRYING to do with Show, but he just punched an old man in the head to keep his job. the fact that he didn't man up with the rest of the roster doesn't help. it's becoming like that episode of the Simpsons where Homer was Mr. Burns' prank-monkey and kept doing increasingly awful and humiliating things just to get a little money. plus I just don't buy the idea that a guy as big as Show is would somehow have trouble finding work elsewhere.

Not only is the story not believable to me but I'm kinda tired of Big Show crying. I think it's kind of careless booking too because it's gonna be obvious to any working adult who is aware of things like labor laws that what their watching clearly isn't real. I know plenty of stuff happens all the time that wouldn't happen in real life, but the contract stuff is a "zipper on the monster costume" type thing in my opinion.

Big Show was still with Dusty is why he didn't come out at the end.
But yeah he's the biggest bitch that ever bitched.

The Big Show portion of this angle is the only part I don't like.

I really am baffled as to why we should be on his side. He's basically too lazy and selfish to find another job and is being a whiny bitch about it, claiming he has no choice but to hurt people when he could easily do otherwise if he'd grow a pair.

Only in the WWE can someone think this:
"We're on television and my boss is saying I have to punch an old man in the face or I get fired. There's no way out of this, I have to do it."
If a boss at any other company did that, it'd be an easy successful lawsuit. BUT ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN THE WWE!

I also hate the whole "you have an iron clad contract but we can terminate you at any time." THEN IT'S NOT IRON CLAD.

Yeah - its not really working for me.
Even on this level; "You made a lot of BAD investments and now you've got to do what your jerk boss says."
I mean, maybe next Big Show hire a better financial advisor? That seems to be the REAL problem in his life.
Hopefully this wasn't the same guy looking over his "iron clad" contract.

That would explain how an iron clad contract can be rescinded on.

Big Show has more leverage than all the other guys who helped Bryan (except maybe RVD, Ziggler, and maybe Darren Young) just for being Big Show.

I have sympathy for the crowd at each show that has to sit through this each week. Man do they look bored.

The Big Show/Steph stuff is such a goldmine of ridiculous hilarity that I can't hate it.

Here's the massive problem with this storyline: No one would get fired for refusing to do tasks that are obviously over the line. Big Show being in breach for refusing the Bryan match? Okay I can buy that. But it cannot be in his contract that he must attack Daniel Bryan in a 4 on 1 beatdown. Or punch out a 68 year old Dusty Rhodes. These things are not in a wrestling contract and a boss cannot seriously make him do these things under threat of termination or breach of contract. Why hasn't Big Show contacted a lawyer about his contract? Or an agent if he has one? Discuss it with his old manager Heyman?
It is all the worse since all the other guys made the save last night. One could argue Ziggler doesn't care at this point, or that RVD would walk in a heartbeat.

I seem to be able to suspend my disbelief for it, I think the performances of everyone involved are what's making it. I realize that to be compelled by the storyline requires me to look over a lot of dumb stuff, Big Show's really convenient financial woes, the complete dismissal of the iron clad contract, that weird Raw where Big Show seemingly equated wrestling Daniel Bryan to murdering him.
The "punch Dusty or we'll kill him" segment was amazing, and I think it's gonna be really interesting now that Big Show is inevitably gonna become a reluctant key player in fighting the babyface resistance.
