Leave it to PONYCAR to throw out some curveballs late... Within sight of the finish at White Tail Woods, several top 10 drivers had to come in for a splash and dash just to get the cars home. The main beneficiary was Nurse Redheart, who didn't pit and got the car home for her second main race win of the season, ahead of Big Macintosh and Surf.

Rounding out the top 10 and going straight into the main race next week... Apple Cobbler, Caramel, Apple Bloom, Carrot Cake, Silver Spoon, Carrot Top and Snips.

And now for the final Japanese episode of Season 1, "The Longed-for Night"....

At The Gala and the Pony Pokey got a Japanese translation. So, after all of Season 1, really only "Winter Wrap-Up" and "Art Of The Dress" got left in their original form. That is still weird...was it really because the Japanese team could not come up with any good lyrics to the song's rhythm and, instead of turning it into another Romanian dub horror, left them in English?

Blueblood kept his name and had a nice voice. *sigh* That would have been the kind of character Kaneto Shiozawa would be voicing if he was still alive.

We never learn Soarin's name in this version. That was really all translation-wise.

NOW to the cuts:

1. The whole scene with the girls getting ready for the Gala at the Carousel Boutique got cut! After the intro, we immediately go to Spike riding the carriage.

2. A bit of the exchange between Donut Joe and Spike got cut (the "Don't you thing you've had enough?" and Spike's response).

3. A shot of the disarrayed girls at the entrance of the donut shop got cut.
